This one could get ugly early and stay that way...VC is very young and they are going to take their lumps...VC is coming off an emberassing home loss to Bloom Carroll...Jackson is at home for the first time in 08 and are coming off a very good showing with a tough win at Wavery...VC needs to just go out and work hard in practice and keep improving and play for pride if the game gets out of hand...VC in the 80's and 90's were known as a a very competitive hard hitting team...It seems lately we have lost that intensity...This series has been very lopsided lately and I dont see that changing this year...Good luck Vikes and just go play hard and thats all you can do...Jackson 42 VC 7

I was honestly expecting Vinton County to beat Bloom-Carroll last week...very surprised by the fact that the game wasn't even close. Jackson got a big win against Waverly, but the Ironmen can't have a letdown this week against the Vikings. If Jackson comes out and plays solid football with no turnovers, I think they should be fine. Finishing out the non-league slate at 3-0 would provide Jackson with a lot of momentum heading into SEOAL play.

After watching the Jackson-Waverly game online, I'm going to have to say the Ironmen will win big. Ironmen should be very confident going into this game considering how the series has gone the last decade. This game could be a chance for Jackson to get more carries to other backs and let Huff rest up a little bit for the SEOAL schedule. Arthur will probably get a lot of chances like he did against Wellston.
