Rat: I think that you misunderstood my comments. Anyone associated with the program understands the character and toughness of its players. The problem is that they are worked to exhaustion due to a lack of numbers. Whether from the halls or over time through development of the program there have be larger rosters in the future. The quality of the existing players should never be questioned given their willingness to take the field against the odds they face weekly.

I wish there were more players, but thats not the case. I think the youth program will help alot. I just hope everyone is patient and supportive.

Has RV started a dedicated youth program? Is it self-contained, competing with the same group as Jackson or Mason County or is it a county team in the Midget Football League?

If the varsity philosophy and good coaching are there, it could make a HUGE difference in the direction of RV football.

They are playing in the Big Bend League as RV. I think this has hurt the GA youth leagues numbers.
