WK3 (2-0) Meigs @ (0-2) River Valley
Re: WK3 (2-0) Meigs @ (0-2) River Valley
Meigs will win. However, I don't think they will post a big score. I think Coach Chancey will be rotating the underclassmen in at the start of the 3rd quarter. Never known him to run the score up against his opponents. Classy coach.

River Valley does not stand a chance but we are working on that in the Big Bend Youth Football League as have expanded to include River Valley.

Sayer did a hell of a job. For a small freshman, he has the heart of an lion. I think he made the 1st hit/tackle on every kick off except one.

How many times has River Valley beat Meigs since the series started in 93?

Meigs' QB could really put it through the air. What grade level is he? He threw very accurately and was not lofting to get distance.

Jacob Well is a Jr. I agree he he has a very strong arm,and I was impressed with the last td he tossed. about 40 yds through the air on a rope and hit his receiver on the numbers between to defenders.i haven't seen alot of hs kids make that kind of throw.
i think he has the ability to play at the next level if he continues to work hard and improve,at least d2 talent.

While waiting in my truck earlier, I read the stats for the game. It seems that Curnutte actually had more yards in the air overall (I think 2 or 3 yards). He was also under a lot of pressure from the defense. That being said, he did a good job in that area as well. I guess it was just less noticeable because of the outcome of the game.

Meigs has the same problem as last year. Any team can complete, at will, the little 5 yd pass across the middle. Not being able to defend that pass cost Meigs a couple of games last year.

I want nothing more than to see R.V have a great season and hopefully it gets turned around soon...It definately is not for lack of effort...They work hard up their. Good luck to both teams....I have heard alot of good things about this Meigs team this year. I have even heard some say they will be a playoff team this year....I hope this game is injury free... Once again goodluck I will stay neutral on my prediction......
