I THINK THE FIGHTING TIGERS BETTER START WRAPPING UP QB'S THAT THEY FLUSH OUT OF THE POCKET. AND THE LINEMEN NEED TO STAY LOW, AND WITH THEIR BLOCKS. AND THE DEFENSIVE LINE NEEDS TO DELIVER HARRDER BLOWS. THEN LOSE THEIR MAN AND GET TO THE BALL QUICKER.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE WE HAVE SPEED , DEPTH, STRENGTH, AND NOT ONLY A GOOD RUNNING GAME. BUT AN EXCELLENT QB. HE THROWS A BEAUTIFUL BALL. BUT OUR RECIEVERS NEED TO HAUL THEM IN , CAUSE HE'S PUTTING THEM THERE. TOO MANY MISSED PASSES.

I THINK THE FIGHTING TIGERS ARE TOO MUCH FOR THE BLUE DEVILS THIS YEAR.

two great programs with nothing but respect for one another, look for the tigers to

surprise the blue with a improved passing game, look for the blue to rotate a ton

players and try to stay fresh, blue devils running game is improved. itown big, g-ville

small looks like a long night for the blue. ill take The Gallia Academy Blue devils in a

big upset. Go Blue'''

ps, hey rick ,take care of the radio guys haha "

see ya friday.

I don't see how anyone can judge! When you have know clue what went down.Only my son and I knows, and the coaches.and saying not having love or passion for the game is wrong!!!We both love the game,If anyone knows me they know the time and long hours.I have put in with both of my kids growing up. This was not a good out come, but don't judge when you don't know what happen !!! He will be playing next year,I was told today that 2 coaches from other schools, said we will welcome him to there team next season."WELCOME"that word sounds good.

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiger90,

All kids want to win. All kids want to win. Now be clear on that. Logan has more talent. More depth and better coaching. Logan holds on to the ball now. It is not a matter of if they do hold onto the ball. Logan is already holding onto the ball. While Ironton was losing to D-5 Burg Logan was defeating D-1 Lancaster. Sorry, I would say Ironton will get more of what they got last year.( a beat down)

I also see a long night for Gallia vs. ironton if they are any good at all.

2 old....

I know that all kids want to win...but knowing the past...and knowing what I know about the two schools and their coaching staff..and see what I have of the tigers in the past and then this year...I am only saying what my opinion of Ironton is this year verses the past...We played Lancaster a few years back...I do believe it to be '88 and we destroyed them...from what I have seen...they are normally a very weak div 1 team...to bragg about beating a weak div 1 team...that's ok...Ironton just beat a div 1 team from Canada this past week...actually destroyed them...should be be dancing in the streets of ironton for doing that...DON'T THINK SO...I am not taking anything from the burg...they got it done when it counted...should Ironton and the burg play nine more times...I feel that Ironton comes out the victor probably seven times...just my opinion...they however made the plays that night and deserve alot of praise for a great victory...I feel that Ironton should be ready for logan this year...

Yes Logan whipped up on an ironton team last year that lost six starters to transfer...had a new coaching staff and just wasn't quite an ironton team all year long...with mostly young kids...many sophomores taking on the starting duties...this year it is quite a bit different...yes the burg got us in the first game...but Ironton is more of a Lutz...Ironton football team this year...unlike the past two that you must be reflecting on...I don't know who will win...but I think it will be a good victory for whoever comes out of this one with the W....

Number one thing is that they get ready for this week though...I think the Big I will pull it out...Ironton is starting to come into form....

We hope that this will be a great game ..... Ironton always find a way to get the Blue , but maybe this could be one that will go the Blue's way !

Its like Northwestern playing Ohio State . Ironton is always bigger , stonger and most years have had some great athletes.

Go Blue .................

Good luck to the Tigers this week. It was hard to tell if we got any better from week 1 to week 2 due to competition but we should be able to gauge it a little better this week

-Devils are putting in extra time for this one...
-2 real "gamers" are back this week on defense.
-Devils found a way to win first 2 games
-though younger, they have more depth than they have for a long time
-the youger players ,though less experienced have good talent.
-this team should improove each week.
-this group gives a TOTAL TEAM effort.

If tigers take Devils lightly -a real upset is on the horizon.
Devils win 20-16 in an upset!

Oh,

As with other Ironton posters, you continue to make me laugh. You say i post the same things yet you only want to talk about the 70'-80's. Get over it. I admire your history. It is today that Ironton football is not playing at that level. They were good in the 80's. Ironton has no championship of any type in the 2000's. Ironton has alot to prove in the 2000's. Ironton has much to prove in the new SEOAL. At this point Ironton has not even been in the league race. Not even a serious contender.

Yes prove it on the field. Not on foriums. LOGAN continues to do it on the field. When ironton and Logan play this year Logan starters will get a good 2 1/2 quarters then the JV will get to have fun with what is left of the Tigers.

As for this week if it is close maybe Logans starters will be out by half time of the Ironton game. Gallia is down. They got by a weak Athens team and PT. truly handed them a game. Pt. found a way to lose. Much like Gallia has found ways to lose to Ironton in the past.

Good point 2old. Back in the 80's it was WE ARE IRONTON, Now it is more like we are ironton. LOL..... The last time we visited tank we came away with a Victory, but it was not a Lutz coached team.... GAHS is the underdog, if we can keep it close and the weather would happen to turn nasty in the 2nd half, anything is possible.......MAYBE.......

Hey 2old, There are a couple good threads on the Logan/Hamilton Twp game here and on JJ. You should stop by and check it out sometime.

As for the game, I will say that this will come down to a last minute or even last second score with the Blue Devils taking the victory. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-17. Good luck to both teams though.

Blue,

Well sadly i think the Blue will have to depend on bad weather to equalize this game. Gallia just has not played anyone. Ironton has lost to the only varsity team they have played. Neither have proven anything this year. As for that one guy (OHbuck) his team loses to a D-5 and he thinks they are coming around. Man he needs a lot of re-education.

Blue the thing I hate when irontron plays Gallia it only leaves one thread for me to "help" people understand football.

OH all i know state or not Logan is the Champion of the league the team you support plays in. Does not say much for the Tigers.

To this point nobody has exploited the weakness like the next couple teams will be able to and to this point nobody has tried, which confuses me but has been evident. However some of the fans have picked up on this and just knowing a little about the kids is enough evidence to know something is fishy. No predictions here, simply Go Blue!!
