I don't see them leaving the SHL. A few schools in the SHL offer sports that others do not. Ripley is currently the only school in the SHL that offers a wrestling program. Lynchburg Clay offers tennis where the other 9 schools do not. All SHL schools except Whiteoak field a soccer team for boys and girls. Fayetteville is also in the process of working toward what Manchester has with a football program. They currently have a jr high program in place. Also, it wouldn't be economically smart for Manchester to leave the SHL. Sure, the bus ride from Manchester to Leesburg is a long one, but not even close to the misery it would be on a bus to Symmes Valley or Oak Hill. Just not a smart play on there part to leave the SHL.

On a brighter note, Good Luck this year Greyhounds, look forward to making it to a game. It's been 30 years since the Southern Hills League had football. I have always enjoyed hearing the stories of SHL football from the old days and it's good to see it back to those who can have it.

Lights are up and running. It will be a couple of weeks before they will have a home game. Best of luck Greyhounds this season!

So East could be the home opener for the Manchester if the field is ready then?

At the start of this decade there hadn't been mention of football in the SHL in 20+ years, by the end of this decade they will have 2 varsity programs.
