It was a rough game that resulted in low field goal percentages all around. I would be surprised if our free throw percentage was over 55%.Their bigs were solid defensively but did not impact their offense as much as their two guard's, Kellough and Miles. Jake had all 6pts of his in the first half. He was also in foul trouble for most of the second half which resulted in him probably not being as aggresive as he was to start the game. Jake got oppurtunities and could have had 14-16pts but he didnt take advantage of them due to the bigs they had drapped over him. He played pretty good defense grabbing 13 rebounds and having around 3 blocks. Nobody shot the ball well but I would be surprised if Trent's field goal percentage was quite that low. Southeastern's best player to this point in the season has been one of their post players named Michael Brown who was averaging 18pts 11rebs previous to this game. He had 2pts in the first three quarters of this one and ended with 8 and probably 5 or 6 rebounds. The two other bigs, Gullion and I cant remember the other's name, had 2-4pts and 6-8pts respectively.

The score looks to indicate good defense or poor performance. I know that S. E. beat Huntington the night before. I thought H.R. was state ranked, not sure about that? Peebles must have been completely shut down inside by what I have read on here. Must have been a lot of turnovers somewhere, who made them? Has anyone got some details of the game? There used to be a lot of Peebles stuff on here about their games, but not to much this year. I have noticed they are not doing to well lately. A lot close games! Makes for good watching though.
Some of the posters who were related to the kids who played the last couple years probably dont get on as much as they used to. They are not doing bad. They are 8-2 which is good enough to still keep them in front as favorites for the #1 seed at Waverly and to keep them in first place in the league standings. Their two losses, which were by a combined four points, have been two good teams in Southeastern(will be the #1 seed at Athens) and Eastern Brown(who was favored to win the league at the start of the season and who is probably 15-20pts per game better now then when Chase Lawson went down with an injury early in the season)and they just as easily could have won both games and been 10-0 to this point with a potential top 15 ranking in the state for D3. Close games make it more interesting but I think ive had my fill of them so far this season. :)

Well said tribemaniac! I don't think losing 2 games to 2 good teams with a combined total of 4 points is too bad either. For years there have been many who can't wait to see the wheels fall off the Peebles bandwagon and there always will be.

Just catching up on here. I didn"t think Peebles would have that hard of a time with SE. If I know Coach Justice he will get em ready for the next game. Goodluck to the Indians and Coach Justice

SE is very tough to beat at SE. Not a shocking loss, would have been much more surprising if it was a blowout either way. Could possibly see a rematch at the Convo.

If you know coach justice then you would know he is not the head coach of Peebles. It is Josh Arey
