Portsmouth vs West

I ask one of the kids tonight and he said they only had 4 of the 8th graders. play last night, and he was one of them.

That would be great if they only had 4 playing, but I find it hard to believe considering Portsmouth 6th had to combine with the 5th last year to make a team and alot of the 5th grader saw lots of playing time. Also, 2 of the sixth graders from last year aren't on the 7th grade team this year. And if it is true the future (next 5-6 years for Portsmouth football doesn't look promising unless they do some recruiting.

Alex Dickerson was really young,and not sure if he failed or what, but he is stil on the 6th grade team.."I sure we will read about that on the biddy forum: about anytime now.

Portsmouth does have a 5th AND 6th grade team this year, and the 6th grade team is pretty good with pretty good numbers, so Portsmouth should be able to compete for a few years anyway

Portsmouth Pee Wee 5th and 6th grade team last year had 45 players. The coaches didn't want to split the team. The 7th grade team at Portsmouth is the Super Bowl Champs when they were 4th graders. The 7th grade team has alot of talented kids.

I remember that year. The West team went undefeated the regular season and got beat by East in the semi-final game in OT. They hadn't been scored on but only once the who season and couldn't come out the Super Bowl Champs. Portsmouth does have good 6th grade team to have went last year without getting much playing time if they had 45 players.

I was the Offense coach for the East team, that was one heck of a game 3 overtimes.
