New Rule for Bands Supporting Their Teams
Apparently their is a new rule out there where the teams' band cannot play while the football is in play. What the world is high school football coming to?!?So,if they do play, the team gets a 'personal foul' penalty called! So, whats the point of even having a band at games?Might as well just have them play half-time then leave.Any thoughts?

The band just isn't allowed to play while the ball is "in play".......we do this during basketball games all the time! There called 30 second "teasers" and chants.
Full songs just get played before the game, during half-time, and the breaks between quarters. There is also that little thing called a time-out The fight song to rally our boys can really help if the other team is hurting and the coach needs to try and break the momentum.
I think that it actually makes the game more fun for the band because they have to pay close attention to what is going on. They may only have a second to start a chant so they have to be ready immediately when the director kicks off a song.
Just watch Marshall University's band.......they do it VERY well!
