Thanks for the post keyser, this was a heck of a game and that was a good summarization of it.

Nice post Keyser. I guess it was Lindamood that jarred the ball loose, huge play. I believe it was Speakman that made a real nice play also in the game. I think what makes our team fun to watch is that their is alot of kids that can step up and make a play.

The announcer I have to admit is annoying. I love Jackson, I know he loves Jackson, but I can see how other schools get annoyed by him. However, I have been to other schools that have been worse. After all, high shcool announcers usualy donate their time. If he keeps increasing utitilitiy rates he won't be mayor much longer.

Portsmouth has a lot of talent, I would not be surpised if they put a string of wins together.

grndma1; if your read my post, I said as an announcer your allowed to be a bit of a homer. All I'm saying is he was too much to handle. While watching a great game, you should not have to hear such a disrespectful announcer. This will be my last post on the announcer, because I would rather talk about what a great game both teams played. Congrats to Ironmen, and good luck the rest of the way Trojans.

The announcer only really bothered me when he got too excited to call the game. Even at that, it was more funny than anything else. By the way, I love the facilities up there, if our new stadium is half as nice as yours it will make it alot easier to say goodbye to Spartan.

I really thought Portsmouth would get their, second win of the season.
It seemed that they were headed that way until Jackson's last drive of the game.
Congrats on a hard fought and well played game.

Thats fine. Randy does get excited and he certainly doesn't need a microphone because his voice is really loud, but you won't find very many people who put in the hours at various levels that he does to put Jackson on the map. He is always one of the first to volunteer when something needs done to promote our county or town.

GREAT EFFORT BY OUR PORTSMOUTH TROJANS!!!!

Congratulations to the Jackson Ironmen on the SEOAL victory..........JHS came through in the ultimate clutch situation......4th and goal from the 2.......to win a very exciting high school football game.

Jonathan Royster was OUTSTANDING!!......that kid can fly!!.......I have called out our offensive line the previous 2 games, but tonight they IMPROVED!!......we moved the ball much better.........our defense played very well with 2 interceptions, one for a touchdown..........

It was good to see us use our speed, namely Royster and Forrest Johnson, getting carries out of the backfield in various ways........

Unfortunately we lost the game by a missed extra point, but even at that we did convert two kicks so that part of the game IMPROVED........

All in all, I was very happy with the effort by the Men of Troy......I would have loved to win, but at least I want a competitive effort, and that's what I was pleased with....

GO TROJANS VS. CHILLICOTHE!!!

I have been telloing everyone all week ,,,when the trojans and Jackson meet up,,its going to be exiting, and more time then not, the game is going to be close at the end.....this year was no different...what a game to watch.

the trojans did some things they have not done yet this year, and it is a step in the right direction, I see the stats, and if I remember we had a rusher go for almost 100 yards, and also Myers passed for 100 yards...those numbers are great to see, like I said these kids are going to take some lumps, but ..they will ..sooner or later..be a team that will win a lot of games.

haha...nice prediction!

biggdowgg,

I agree with you. In looking at Portsmouth's schedule, I think they could definitely win 4 of their last 6 games, maybe more. Getting to 5-5 after starting 1-3 would be a great momentum builder for next year. The Trojans are gonna be a force to be reckoned with in the next couple years.

An impressive victory!! Too many times we have come up on the wrong end of a close game like last night's. Ryan Hughes had a great game!! Klingaman and Mapes also had impressive games on the defensive front. I was somewhat disheartened at our defensive backfield and their willingness to hit! I actually saw some boys give up on the long touchdown that Portsmouth had. I hope the coaches see this on the film, and will work to correct this problem!

portsmouth_98 and ocho stinko....Thanks for the kind words on the game report.

What kind of writeup did the PDT have on it? I wasn't about to drive down to Piketon and pick up a copy (after working all night and with gas back up to $4 again), but was wondering what exactly they did with what I supplied them.
