I have not seen him play a snap yet, but from everything I hear Wellston's Jaylen Prater will be getting some bigtime looks.

Portsmouth has two already commited to Penn State and Florida State, but after seeing them play against the Burg last Friday I'm sorry but I just don't see it. For as big as those are, that was the worst blocking I have ever seen on a high school line, especially since they probably outweighed our defensive line by close to 75 lbs a man

D1 talent is few and far between almost everywhere., but especially in SE Ohio.

It does take GREAT high school players. It takes GREAT high school players with exceptional size and speed.

I do believe tony murphy has great size and speed..and not to mention strength

Bench- 425
squat- 595
deadlift- 600
40 time between 4.9 and 5.0

6'00"
275 pounds

I with my own two eyes saw him rep 225 36 times last year
And along with that he has an amazing personality and an all around good kid

People used to say that about Gerald Cadogan, but he's doing OK for himself these days.

I think Nate will do just fine at Penn State like his brother but Prior needs to really improve his game.

Those two do get beat, and they probably aren't playing like d1 talent now, but they take an awful lot of blame. If someone rushes 6 or 7 guys or it comes up the middle, there's not much any tackle can do.

Youre right and we all must realize that Prior will not face a DT that small and fast in his college career...he will do alot better against men his size.

Although some of them might be his size and close to that fast. That's the scary thing about it. Luckily he'll have a few years of good coaching to help him out.

If Prater from Wellston continues to develop each year ( he is only a freshman) I could see him going places. This kid plays like a Senior.

Yeah but no college DE can stay as low as BURG's D-line can and it's easier to block a man who is bigger in size...if that makes any sense.

It is a shame we don't see more kids from southern ohio make it to D-1 because this is were you see some of the best football. Unfortunately size hurts us alot. You always see alot of talent in I-town. I have heard alot of praise about the kid from Wellston. Is he playing Varsity, would like to see him play in a few weeks.

What do D-lineman do in college and NFL??? As the ball is snapped they stand straight up...BURG's D-line is so quick and small they barely raise up and its hard to block a guy thats at your knees

I don't like this thread!
It's to hard to discuss a kids talent and troubles
without talking slightly negative about them, breaking the rules of SEOP!
