Coach Sayre and I have known each other since 7th grade. He always welcomed us to practice with river valley. He also coached my indoor 4x800 relay in the indoor meets. He was a close friend to the meigs cross country team. Coach Sayre was a outstanding coach and friend. He will always be missed.
My prayers go out to the river valley team.

Ed officiated my volleyball match when we played at Trimble last Wednesday. He did his usual great job. He will be missed in the volleyball gyms as well. It was a shock to hear of his passing. We at Meigs pass on our sympathy to his family and to our River Valley friends.

Just did not seem right after church tonight. We would talk for awhile after service on Sunday night, just was not the same tonight.

Ed left behind a son, daughter-in-law, and wonderful grandchildren. Ed just loved to show their pictures to his friends.

See you in glory, friend!

When I think back about my running career. I cannot help but think of coach sayre. Although I never ran for him. He was always giving me some postive advice, and always had the time to talk to you, no matter how busy he may have been. I had never met anyone that had that kind of passion for running. Track and Cross Country just lost a great person. RIP coach sayre for they need you in a greater place to coach!
