WK 5 (0-4) Wellston @ (2-2) Belpre

Post by ronnie88richards »

Belpre won there first TVC-Ohio game of the year against the Alexander Spartans 26-14, while Wellston lost a nail bitter in double overtime to as always top TVC-Ohio contender Nelsonville-York Buckeyes 34-28. Belpre now 2-2 is coming back to play at Ralph Holder Stadium Sept. 19th 7:30pm after 2 straight away games. Wellston who is 0-4 is a team who has seem to be improved even though the record doesn't show it. They have played some really hard teams and came pretty close to winning a few of those games but looking past that Wellston wants to get a W in Week 5 an kickstart there TVC-Ohio run. Belpre has wins coming from Alexander and Fort Frye an looking for there 2nd win in the TVC Ohio. Last years game Belpre beat Wellston @ Wellston 19-7. Will Wellston get there first win in the TVC-Ohio an of the year or will Belpre prevail to 3-2 with 2 wins in the TVC-Ohio? As always goodluck to both TVC-Ohio teams.

Look for the Eagles to soar to their 2nd TVC win and top the improving Rockets 21 - 10. Being that NY is playing Meigs that will put the Eagles in a 2 way tie with the winner of that game and a great shot at the TVC title.
Lets go Eagles!!

Seeing as Wellston improved from last year, with evidence being shown in the Nelsonville-York game, I think they will come away with a win this week.

Wellston 20
Belpre 14

Good luck to both teams.

Go Rockets! :122245

Belpre's D needs to play like they did vs. Alex. Lockard is a beast. But so is our TB.

i think this is going to be a close game, for belpre to win they win need another great performance from there 3 impact players (in my eyes anyways) from junior tyler carr ,he was able to control alexander offensively and defensively Carr will control the line in the wellston game all night ..Senior ashton packard will need to lower his shoulder like he knows how and run ppl over like he used to, Packard will do his part on defense as heleads the team in tlks and sophmore erik waderker, offense is extremely quick and can burn anyone one on one but hasnt been getting much action on the off. side of the ball as ive heard, on defense he is the best coverage man they have, teams avoid throwing/running his way, so watch for plays to be made in the middle or the opposite side.

Waderker, as well as others, are good; but John Logue still has made the best catch of anyone from Belpre and he is the fastest on the team in the 40.
