I am an NY fan and I will say this about Wellston. I dont think they will lose another game this season. I know an Ny coach and he thought they would be one of the toughest games of the season after watching them on film. Turned out to be right. If this team is taken lightly because of their record it would be a mistake.

Being that they still play Belpre,Meigs and Alexander I'm sure they will lose another game or two,maybe 3 or 4.The 1st one will be tomorrow night at Belpre.

I agree. I think this will be a break out game for Prater, and Lockard will be his normal stellar self. I don't see anyone else on the schedule with the exception of maybe Meigs that will cause the Rockets trouble.

Going in to this season, I would have predicted Belpre would run away with this game. However, after seeing Wellston play so strongly against NY last week, I believe Wellston is a much stronger program this year than last year, and I feel that they are a much better team then I had previously given them credit for. I have not seen Belpre play yet this season, but I have to admit that Wellston made a believer out of me last week, and for that, I am predicting Wellston will pick up the win at Belpre this week.

Wellston is going to be tough. but Lockard will be trying to run through a tough core of D. Featuring D lineman Tyler Carr(all TVC as a sophmore), Tyler Watkins LB, Corner Erik Waderker which i know hes small but not very many people get by him, and the reigning TVC defensive MVP Ashton Packard. If Lockard and Paclard bumb heads Packard will win just about every time. Our DB's are very skilled. ever since week 2 the belpre defense has had at least 2 picks per game.Yates has 4, Waderker has 2, Tate has 1 and Packard has 1.
This game will come down to turnovers.

Ive seen Lockard take some good hits ,,last week a N-Y player stood him up with a great hit and Matt still ended up with positive yardage on the play . I see matt having a good night friday night.Only one team has held him under 100 yards this season ,and that was Jackson . There are NO defenses in the TVC that compares to the Ironmen.We have played some other good defensive teams and he has more than carried his weight.All that being said there is MORE to this Rocket team than Mr Lockard.

I dont think Belpre is the team they were last year. If they win this one tonight I will have my crow with at side order of humble pie. I just think Wellston will win.


Good luck to both teams and here is hoping for no INJURIES on either side. Remember the boys on the field will be giving it thier all so cheer when they are behind as you would if they were winning.

Tate has 2 picks. One against Trimble and one last week against Alexander that he took back for 6 but it was called back for a block in the back at the 2 yd line. That gives our starting DB's 8 picks in 4 games. I'd say thats pretty good.

Packard and Carr will give Wellstons offense fits. They will be all over the field making tackles.
