Duke,

Unlike Tiger fans i will have NO excuse. If Ironton wins I will congratulate them on a fine victory. Of course i will not need one. I have said Logan would win the league from the last snap of last season. I have been right the last 4 years in the league and i have been correct in beating ironton since their return to the league. For those who need help let me make this clear.

LOGAN will defeat Ironton next week and defeat Ironton EASILY.

Towards the end of the game did anyone else but me see Casey Jones reach up as the Ashland back when running past him...grabbing his Jersey with one hand and slamming him backwards keeping him from getting the first down? dang, you have to be strong to grab a guy running full bore with one hand and you on the ground and not only stop him but pull him backwards

Old Mold, I'm sure you know that "i", when alone should be "I". I figured it must have been a "typo" error. Sincerely, JB

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DOWGG, I'M HERE TO TELL YOU, IT SHOULD NOT HAVE EVEN BEEN CLOSE. BUT WE ARE PUTTING THE BALL ON THE GROUND, AND DROPPING WIDE HONKING OPEN PASSES.
if we don't clean up our mistakes, its going to be a long second half of the season with the likes left of logan, chilli, jackson, portsmouth, nelsonville york, and warren. our defense kept us un this game. we looked great at times , but not consistently. our qb, is a wonderful passer. but people are dropping wide open passes. and we put the ball on the ground twice inside their 5. we must clean this stuff up. don't get me wrong, we have a wealth of talent. if we put it together. we could win out. but fundamentally we just ain't arrived yet. we will need a MUCH BETTER EFFORT NEXT WEEK. TO CONTEND WITH LOGAN. but i truely believe we have played down to our opponents level of play. we've not played a turnover free game yet. not even close. and thats what it's going to take the rest of the year. as the schedule explodes with talent now. with that said.

go ironton fighting tigers, play as hard as you can every play. quit taking plays off, and protect the ball and we've got the talent to beat those purple injuns. up north. p.s. give paris birchfield the ball, he's a beast.

Ashland wasn't that bad of a team defensively...although Ironton did have wide open shots at the end zone on a number of occasions and didn't catch the ball thrown right in their hands...did I say wide open...along with the fumbles...

Ironton is going to have to step it up...saw some good things...but as far as our line this past week..inside line...they have to get aggressive...if they would have played ashland with the aggression they played with against gallia...it would have been a short night for our first team...they were just flat....

We need a much better effort this next week or I hate to say...2 old will beat his chest....If we play like we did against Gallipolis...we come out with the W

Not taking anything from the Ashland at all but there was 4 or 5 bad center to QB snaps accounting for the majority of fumbles. The Toncats came to play and did hit hard and play well.

ashland did play aggressively. but i still stand by what i said. we just can't seem to stand prosperity. looking for a much more spirited effort this week. and not playing to our competition's level.
