Oak Hill gets win over Minford

catch24, I would say in past 15 years say from 1994 to present, southern ohio has sent just as many teams to the
final four as we did in the previous 15 years before 1994.
Good athletes will be good and will develop in some way or
another. Development may even be better today due to travel ball and technical training is way better today than in the past. Back in the day players just worked out their own
technique and alot of good players never developed because
of their fundamental skills werent being focused on as much.
Hitting,pitching and fielding is mechanical by nature and must
be taught so the mechanics are mastered then abilities take
over for any player to be compete at their level.

Do the Minford fans see Coach Martin staying at Minford or do you think he will hang it up this year?? Sounds like the team has hung it up now. Which is not a good sign now that the weather is breaking and tournaments are right around the corner.

last year minford was a contender for the soc2 crown and everyone was praising coach martin. i don't remember any complaints about helping other players! just curious, what were the minford facilities like before martin?

Whoever is questioning/complaining about Coach Martin obviously has no clue about how lucky the Minford Program is to have him. He has built the program, sent multiple players off to college, built a training facility, and is a great baseball man. Nothing but good to say about Coach Martin.

The baseball facility is open for any Minford kid that wants to come and work out. The issue is most Minford kids are playing other sports and they don’t have time to work out. Believe me Coach Martin world love to have every baseball player in Minford working out year around. But they don’t. Also not only does Coach Martin help the Kids in Minford, he help any kid he can it doesn’t matter what school they go to. He one heck of a coach and a better person!!!!!!

Also good job to Oak Hill on a fine win for the kids.
