The thing that really hurts NW in getting this done is the fact that they are or were the biggest school district in the county.I still dont see why they just couldn't flip spots with Valley.Valley can compete with some of the obove schools I mentioned and would make for a better more competitive SOC 1 and 2 overall.

Said it years ago and on here, agree completely. I even wrote the powers that be a couple years ago, but oh well. Would be nice for the soc 1 competition and the NW community/fans.

I quit posting on here last year, but I just can't resist this one. Here is my ultimate reallignment. I have wished for many years the SOC would "wake up" and do this. Ironton and Portsmouth have needed a closer conference forever. So here is what I wish they would do:
SOC 1 would have Ironton, Burg, Waverly, West, and Portsmouth
SOC 2 would have Valley, Minford, Northwest, Oak Hill, and Piketon
SOC 3 would be Notre Dame, Green, East, S. Gallia, and Symmes Valley

This would give all the teams the flexability to play whoever they wanted out of conference and still be able to compete in conference. You can still have Minford play the teams they want in Div. 1 and Valley as well. Northwest can "Schedule down" and play the lower division if they like. Some of the better teams in D.3 could schedule up and play teams in D.2. Plus it would still give Ironton Portsmouth and all the teams an oppurtunity to go out of conference and keep the traditional rivalries that they have now. All you need is a Piketon or (somebody like that) to jump. It would be awesome. Every year would be so competitive. Any team could win those conference championships year in and year out. I couldn't resist coming out for that topic.

Coach Webb came to east 1 year after I played and I wish they would have hired him before SV got him.I think he is good.

Black Panther wrote:Who won the game? What Northwest needs is to get out of the SOC 2 for football.Does this mean they will dominate the SOC 1? NO WAY,but at least they have teams they could compete with on a yearly basis once the so called program gets built back up.You know as well as I there is NO WAY they will EVER compete with the likes of the Burg,West,Minford, Waverly, and even Valley.I'ts just not going to happen. All the pep talks and pomp and circumstance will not change it.

This was proposed this past winter and was shot down by the other schools in the SOC-II. They did not want to give up the game with NW due to the fact it is an easy "W" and a week to rest their starters. Would NW win a SOC-I title? Highly unlikely. They played so poorly last night that they should not only be crushed that they were beaten by a small D-6 school in the SOC-I that is not that good, but they should be ashamed of it. Lack of conditioning, lack of discipline, lack of leadership, both on the field and on the sidelines and lack of preparation. I hope that none of the Mohawk kids get hurt in the next five games, because they are in for five real "beatings" the rest of the season. There is no doubt that NW had bigger kids, better speed and more depth than SV, however, the 25 kids on the SV side of the field were all "football players" the 50 + kids on the NW sideline only had a few "football players". Congratulations to Rusty Webb and his Vikings, and good luck in conference play! Work on the passing game. Get better every week! You are capable of that, where others are not.

If northwest plays the way they did last week they'll walk away with a SOCI championship. My guess is northwest coaches forgot just how good Campbell is and that's been fixed. Northwest by 20.

NW wins I believe. Crazy how a team can look totally different from week to week like they do. Pleasantly surprised with the eastern game.

They need to bring the same intensity they brought last week. I think they will.
