Yeah RedStorm I think that Minford was even more physical than the CG game, McCormick and Crabtree were really laying the wood, on one of the first touchdowns I heard the helmets crack up in the stands from one of Crabtree's blocks, and I'm pretty sure I could hear Oak Hills QB lose all the air in his body when Mac blindsided him :122246 :122246 I too was impressed with the O-line they were quick, aggresive and on point throughout the whole game. I think that Oak Hill will be in a real dogfight next week with East and it should be a good matchup as long as their QB has time to throw the ball.

There was also the catch of the year that took place along the Minford sideline. To get hit and maintain concentration to pull the ball down----Awesome!!!!

RogueWarrior1965....Thank you for the kind words on the article. Yeah, that was me in the blue polo shirt and press pass. If you saw beforehand, I got hit with a ball square in the back and shoulders during pregame warmups as I walking down from the press box in the stands. I had no idea where that ball came from, I just turned around and there was a ball at my feet and I felt a quick pain in my back. It subsided pretty quickly though. I enjoyed my time in Minford. Good luck to the Falcons the rest of the way.

Even though Minford was 4 and 0 going into the game against the Oaks I still had not felt that they had played extremely well or as well as they could let's say. My mind was changed Friday. Those boys really stepped up. Great drives, pushing for those extra couple of yards almost every time. Great catches. Just all around impressive. Can't wait to watch Minford play the 3 W's. If they play like they did Friday there will be some awesome games. Great job Falcons.

Solid game by the Falcons.

I am surprised that Oak Hill didnt run #5 more up the middle. He was a tough RB and was picking up nice yards per carry.

Minford's D stepped it up Friday night and the D backs looked sharp except for a couple big plays.

Minford got alot of pressure on a fine Oak Hill QB which was the difference, not allowing Oak Hill to really establish a consistant passing game.

Good luck to Oak Hill this week and Good luck of course to the Falcons!

Great job Minford! 3 shutouts in a row! I wonder if that is a Minford record?
Now, here comes the three W's and conference play. Minford will need to step it up a notch. These games will tell you the confidence level they have against the big three.

All teams have a losing record (fluff teams until this week) :122249

Oak Hill has played 1 D-5 school and 3 D-4 schools and faired out with 138 points to 50
One team has a winning record (2 fluff team & the rest legitimate teams and now just above mediocre at best)

Common game is river valley
Minford 42-6
Oak Hill 33-0

Slone will tear your defense up, recruits, sorry I mean transfers or not.

We will mark this post until after the game.

If Oak Hill wins, I will give you all the props.

If Oak Hill loses, you probably will see this post again.

Minford could have hung 70 on River Valley, with the second, third and fourth team part of the 3rd and all of the 4th.

Keep a close eye on the recruits.....I mean transfers......they are real fast.

Headhunter- where are you??

I thought for sure we would see comments from you after this one was over!

If Oak Hill would have won, I would have given you their due. Minford was entirely too much Friday night.

Yeah!

The Slone kid from Oak Hill is a good QB, but he wasnt tearing that defense up! Minford's D is too stinging and the last 2 weeks they have really held up on some big 3rd and short and 4th and short stops.

Minford had a good defensive plan for the Oaks and it was executed well. I am sure they will be ready for the Tigers.
