South Point rolls into conference play with a 21+ point dismantling of Valley.

After watching the Pointers against Point Pleasant and all the yards they racked up....I say that SP wins this one big and rolls to 2-3 and get more momentum rolling into their first OVC game next friday

SP by 21+

South Point is a solid club with a nice running game.

I have not saw Valley yet.

This will be a nice contest for both clubs. Winner will be team with least turnovers IMO

Valley is playing some young and talented guns week after week , they are going to suprise many schools. I believe this week is one of those that will be suprised. Valley's week 3 was not the same team as the team that played in weeks 1 & 2. You know what Woody Hayes says that cleanses the sole. Well that part is out of the way now, thanks to CG. Good Luck Indians

Time to see if the Indians will put up or shut up, I think South Point will be a good measuring stick for the Indians heading into conference play. West and Wheelersburg beat the Pointers handily, and Minford I believe beat the Pointers in their srimmage, so this should let the Indians know how they'll stack up in the SOC.

Good Luck N Good Health to both teams.

I'm going with Lucasville in this matchup, 21-14.

I hope Valley wins. Equals more points for Burg if we beat Valley. 4.0 if valley loses, 4.5 if valley wins.

I think Evans and that offensive line need to find a way to get yards. SP is heavy run game but can hit the long ball if your not ready. Valley must play the best defensive game of this young season to have a chance.

What are you talking about "put up or shut up" no one has said anything about this team except they are young and they have some talent. We all have said 5-5 would be a success but judging by your comments you'd thine we are constantly saying 10-0 or something.

I thought Burg beat SP 28-20??

Ok, placing Burg in this equation, if SP plays like they did vs Burg with the Valley quick D over running the SP O , then Valley has NO chance. If Valley plays the lanes with their Dline, they may have a chance if their LBs are there in the gaps. Burg D was WAY past the SP running lanes, but you can expect that in the 2nd game and a very fast D. I said they really needed to stay in the lanes and keep from giving SP many yards to cutbacks or misdirection. Valley being young, they have only 1 chance. Stay put. You have Burg vs SP, West vs SP on film. You lose this....

Despite their record, South Point is a very good team. I don't think the young Valley players can hang with them physically. South Point is very well coached. I rate them higher than Coal Grove who physically out manned Valley.

If the burg beats valley they will have beaten SP and valley so point wise I think the burg gets the same amount of points regardless of the outcome of this game. Same goes for West.
