The 8 grade team is a great group of guys but its unfortunate they only have 17 active players... in 2 or 3 years that team will be a great compliment to the current group of freshman who last year were basically untouchable and went undefeated..

As for the seventh grade they are an amazing group and if these 3 grades continue to improve and develop like they are capable of the high school team looks like they will have a few good years comin up.

Interesting...our schedule shows Marietta 7th grade coming to Gallipolis tonight. They announced today that it had been cancelled, and now I see your schedule doesnt list it. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Also does Chillicothe still refer to their middle schools teams as JA Smith since they moved to middle school to the high school building on Yoctangee Parkway in their renovations of a couple of years ago?

I don’t want to sound rude, but I don’t know what schedule you are looking at, the 7th grade had 4 games at the start of the season and had to beg teams to play us. We had some teams fit us in and if not for them out talented 7th grade would have been in trouble. There is no way any game was canceled on our end. Please don’t start a rumor by saying things “you herd”. We were very worried our kids would be let down by playing four games. “shenk11” posted on the football part of this chat for all to read that 7th grade needed games. So let me make it clear Marietta 7th grade did not cancel any games at any time this season or last. Last year we went to Zanesville 3 times and played one team 2 times at there field so we would have games. This year our 7th grade had to agree to play 7th and 8th grade combined teams to have a season. I am sorry “you herd” wrong, but we here at Marietta worked very hard to have a 7th grade season. I hope your 7th grade team has a good season.
