Ironton At Ashland JV And We Supposedly Have Mystery Flags?
ha! if anyone else was there last night, you have to be mystified at the number of flags tossed against Ironton's JV team. Last week, on Bluegrass Preps they were talking about the calls in Tank Stadium.
Last night was the most flags I believe I have ever seen tossed in one game against one team. Someone PM'd me and said that they counted them and Ashland's JV had 3 tossed on them to Ironton's 22! I couldn't swear it was the count that is but it sure sounds right. 22 flags tossed against one team in a JV game! and probably 3/4 of them were in the first half
How could Ashland fans say anything about the refs?

I believe your count is right. Also, KY must have a new rule this year concerning the Ref being able to hold out a player for 3 plays. Someone from the south side of the river want to explain that one?

I know! isn't that crazy! too funny! it's the new Kentucky '3 Play Rule'
Re: Ironton At Ashland JV And We Supposedly Have Mystery Flags?
That player was told to "sit out 3 plays" because "he was runnin' his mouth." There was never a flag for unsportsmanlike for that becasue he was not using profanity and he was not ejected, but he was told he had to "sit out 3 plays." That reminds me of the flag at Ashland on the varsity level in 2005 that was on Darius Lewis when breaking up a pass on 4th down. The call was an unsportsmanlike penalty for "tackling too hard." This was the same crew that was at the freshmen game on Wednesday last week that threw a flag before the game even started for a sideline warning. The sad thing is that Ironton's JV team is 30 points better than Ashlands, but you would never know it from the score, that is until next year on the varsity level

gotigers (or anyone else) has anyone heard a report on Hager, how is he doing?
Oh..and I thought Coach Vass and Coach Burcham done a real good job considering what was goin' on. I'd probably had everyone in jail if it was up to me and my big mouth...

Hager has to have an MRI to find out for sure what is going on. Not sure yet, but he is a tuff kid!

Come on, give Ashland a break. The once proud program has lost about 84 out of 86 games to Ironton, on all levels since 1990. You gotta give them a crumb or two.
Unlike Russell, at least they have played us the past 15+ years.

His knee locked up. He had to be carried off the field and then his parents took him to the hospital. Still haven't heard if he's ok or not. Let's pray that he is ok

very true on the flag's, not trying to sound like a whinner, but the flags were definetely 1 sided, KUDO'S to the trainer from ashland for the assistance to our injuries. HOW IS J.P. TAYLOR?
