It is obvious it has been awhile since you saw good football. Logan scored 4 td's in the first half. No punts. That is pretty much at will. I liked the way logan toyed with the Tigers.

Kantucky i see you are starting it again. Every year we are going to see the next greaqt Tiger team. Well this one is ok but not great. Actually the flawed thinking occurrs on the river.

You guys are even afraid to let the boys use their best weapons.

Typical Ironton dribble. Has nothing to do with the topic or with how Ironton attempts to play football this year. Two things are obvious. Ironton for all their bravado has LOST to two teams this year. One a division below them and one game where Ironton was COMPLETELY dominated. If they don't change their attack they can expect more of the same.

They can't see it. Apparently no one in the entire town can see it. When Lutz finally gets to the record in wins it will take care of itself.

No one was arguing that Ironton lost or didn't lose the game, they did do so. Just pointing out that contrary to what some might have people believe, Ironton must be doing something right. None of the other schools of the posters represented on this thread have had the success that Ironton has had this decade (or ever for that matter)

1. ironton has not done well in the last 21/2 years.
2. ironton's non conference schedule did not prepare them to play a competent team.
3. ironton has to make major changes if they are ever going to right the ship.

I hate it that the list that I put together the other day..that took me an hour to do got deleted. If I'm not mistaken, Logan would have to win the state the next two years with Ironton having losing seasons both this year and next for Logan to match Ironton's success as a program. Anyway, it's a shame it got deleted after you started that diatribe against the school. People would have enjoyed seeing that.

Save your HISTORY lesson. I am talking 2008. I know the history. You apparently can not live in the moment. For the moment the tigers are 3-2 this year and on a losing streak.

logan has not had a successful team.... ever....b/c logan has no state tittles in d5 football??
so, i-town has had ONLY 2 successful teams??
now, if that is the way you are measuring success.... then what about the last 19 yrs????? are the last 19 teams unsucessful programs? and if you have had 19 yrs worth of unsucessful teams/programs (and you say that is what you should measure a programs success by) then why is the same coach there if he is not producing a successful program year in and year out??
i think that is a badly flawed measuring system

I'm not goin to sit down and figure it out for you all again. You can do it. Look at the number of victories Ironton has this decade. Look at the number of playoff appearances, games and wins and then compare the two schools. You'll see what I mean then.

Compare the results the last three years. Bad trend for ther Tigers. And LUTZ has been there two of those years. Things do not look good in Ironton.

Even in this decade Ironton has been more successful than Logan. Logan is an up and comer thats all there is to it. Until they consistently do it year in and year out making the playoffs and getting past the first round and making some sort of statement in the playoffs then they will stay as mid carders. If they want to be a main eventer they need o do something big. They win a state title and they will become a main eventer. Until then when the top programs in Southeast Ohio are mentioned Logan will be at the bottom behind teams that have actually done something.

To put it in wrestling terms. Ironton is comparable to Ric Flair, HHH, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, and guys like that while Logan is comaparable to guys like Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, Santino, and gusy like that. They have won the intercontinetal title(League Title) and they might have a win or 2 over the top guys, but they stay in mid card range because when it really counts they fold like a pair of cheap socks.
