TIGERS90,
No disrespect, but did I read you stating that our CAVS are SLOW
Well I haven't seen that yet. I hope your team doesn't take that statement with a full grain of salt. Our linemen are big, but Caleb, the HB's, the Flankers, WR's, SE's and TE's aren't slow, that's for sure. The FB's are big, we have three of them and they rotate in and out. They are slower than the HB's but I couldn't say Chillicothe is a slow team. Likewise, they are a team with stamina. Something they did not portray last year. The longer the game goes on, the stronger the CAVS get. I like this game tonight. It will be a great one to watch and one that the defenses will be a major factor. I like our CAVS in this matchup pulling out the win. Then continue to move the ball forward, headed towards that week 10 matchup with our purple buddies from up north.
The great thing is, that game like tonights game with I-Town will be played on Hernnstein Field at Chillicothe too.
Good luck to both these Outstanding SEOAL Schools
May the game be an injury free one and played with great sportsmanship.

I haven't heard anyone say anything like that about the cavs and my son plays for Ironton. Also, I thought they were eating at Bob Evans.
itown said the same thing about logan and look what happened.

Re: WK 6 Ironton @ Chillicothe
loyaldevilfan,
The score was 17-9 Chillicothe. I got to spend a little time with Tigerbait tonight and talked to Kantucky II. Great guys
I think if it wasn't for some turnovers, this game could of went either way. Ironton has a great team and will make some noise the rest of the season. No disrespect to our folks in Jackson. I hope Jackson is ready to enter the Tank in week 7, because I don't think it's going to be pretty for them NEXT WEEK.
Good luck the rest of the season to our SEOAL Friends from the river, The Ironton Fighting Tigers

Re: WK 6 Ironton @ Chillicothe
Congrats Chili on the win. I got a question for the stat guys. How many turnovers does Ironton have this season? This is riduculous. It doesnt matter how good a team you are if you have a -3 or more turnover ratio each game. Apparently Coach Lutz and his staff need to go back to teaching the fundamentals of holding onto a football.
I want to rant a litle more. We have an offensive line that averages about 260 and we cant run the ball on good teams. My goodness with all that beef we should be getting 300 plus yards on the ground every game. Honestly I was wishing Chili would have scored again in those last seconds. Listening to the game it sounded like Ethan Preston had a great defensive game making tackles left and right. Congrats to him. Sad thing is he is our safety. That means our defensive line and linebackers are getting the snot kicked out of them if the safety has to make all the tackles. What is up with that? These Tigers need a wake up call badly.

tigercannon71,
I think Coach L will take them through the basics and your Ironton Fighting Tigers will be a different team come Friday against Jackson at the Tank. I also think they win out the rest of the season.
I can't see any of these teams defeating your Fighting Tigers. You will have to, most likely be ready for some type of A-Game Plan devised by Coach Boston at Nelsonville-York on their new sports complex field. But with that said, I think your Fighting Tigers will wear them down, WITH THE BIG MAN UP-FRONT and eventually, will run away with the score in that game with the N-Y Buckeyes from the TVC-Ohio.
Jackson 10-03 Home
Portsmouth 10-10 Away
Nelsonville York 10-17 Away
Warren 10-24 Home
That would give your Fighting Tigers a 7-3 record in DIV. Will that be good enough for a playoff slot in your Region for DIV Teams?
tigercannon71,
I will honestly say this, you have some very tall and fast receivers that could have kept this game closer if they might have been utilized more. The one player was open three times, but I-Town ran the ball, using them as a decoy. Just an observation from a front seat view in the Cavalier Bleachers.
Are those tall players I mentioned also going out for B-ball this season at Ironton? If so, looks like there will be 4 teams in the SEOAL hunt this up-coming season instead of three.
Chillicothe, Zanesville, Portsmouth and now looks like Ironton too if those guys are playing B-Ball.
I wish your Ironton Fighting Tigers all the best, the rest of this football season. Keep motivating your kids I-Town. They will come alive and be more confident after the game against Jackson and even more after the match-up with Portsmouth.
Take Care I-Town
Respectfully

Re: WK 6 Ironton @ Chillicothe
So apparently Jackson shouldn't make the trip down SR 93 next Friday because it's a forgone conclusion that Ironton has already won that matchup. Right, Army?
