I remember not to long ago when Ironton was a huge favorite coming into jackson and the mighty Ironmen ran all over them..One thing about football that I have learned is you NEVER count out your opponent...I mean did you see the zanesville , logan game. I think this game will be closer than what everyone thinks

ironman02,

Congratulations on your win at Marietta tonight. I picked the Tigers to win and your Ironmen pulled off the W. But, with that said, unless Ironton just lays down at the TANK, I see them rebound in this one. And possibly big-time. We will have to see. As we saw tonight, Logan only defeated Zanesville 16-14 at Logan. So I guess anything is possible in this SEOAL.

Playing at the Tank is extremely tough and I'm sure that Ironton will be highly motivated coming off two straight losses. But you're exactly right. Anything can happen. Will Jackson beat Ironton? Maybe, maybe not. But that's why the games are played.

Saying things like "your Tigers will be much more confident after the game with Jackson" shows complete disrespect for Ironton's opponent. I wouldn't expect any more than that from the guy who "respectfully" predicted that Marietta would beat Jackson by 2-4 scores.

Well, the tigers let me down. I went out on a limb here and picked them thinking that no way in hell can they lose this game...THEY'RE THE TIGERS!
I was wrong!
Looks like Ironton indeed just does not have it anymore.

Congrats Chillicothe. Makes week 10 more to play for. See ya there!

ironman02,

You mean, just like all your prior FOOTBALL Predictions you made about our CAVS this year :?: :-D

Remember :?:

Or did you forget about those predictions of yours :?:

Get over yourself and quit taking everything personal, like you have a habit of doing sometimes. It's just an opinion, just likes yours. All were predicting a blow out by some tonight over our CAVS by I-Town and Non-I-Town Posters. Did you see anyone start complaining or whining on our Chillicothe-Ironton thread? No. There was a tremendous amount of civil rapport among both teams posters.

Good Luck next week :!:

Ironton leads series verses Jackson 31-4-6

1910 Jackson 11 0

2006 Ironton (H) 48 20
2007 Ironton (A) (Tigers 600th All Time Win) (OT) 20 14

But I am going with I-Town to rebound in next weeks match-up at the TANK. Three reasons.

1. They have lost two straight SEOAL Games :!:

2. Both were away. Many mistakes were made in those away games by the Fighting Tigers :!:

3. They are finally home and they will be more than ready after this weeks practice with Coach L. and READY to PLAY some FOOTBALL against the Ironmen at the TANK :!:

One game at a time CAVS :!:

GO CAVS :!: :-D

I don't remember what I picked Chillicothe to finish this year, but I'm pretty sure they have only won one game that I thought they would lose and that was Big Walnut. However, you don't see me saying stuff like "It won't be pretty for Chillicothe next week" or "Don't worry, you'll have much more confidence after you play Chillicothe". And just for your information, I picked Chillicothe to beat Ironton tonight.

You were on here predicting that Jackson would go 2-8 this season. They were gonna lose to Wellston, they were gonna get hammered by Waverly. You don't show up on Jackson threads until they lose to Gallia Academy and you immediately start with your "respectful" comments that are completely disrespectful. You say Jackson is going to lose to Marietta by 2-4 scores and then we they don't, you immediately begin talking about how Ironton will destroy them.

I'm not taking it personally. I take PMs containign insults personally, but not your "respectful" predictions. However, I do take Jackson football seriously and your little comments aren't appreciated. If Ironton blows out Jackson, then congratulations, you were right. But it might be wise to show some class instead of taking jabs at Jackson every chance you get. Your little "I'm a different type of poster now" act isn't fooling anyone either. You're still the same old Army.

By the way, those series numbers are incorrect. Ironton has still dominated the series, but it's 32-6-7 in favor of Ironton. I've posted that many times but it doesn't seem to make its way down to the river.

ironman02,

All I can say is tuff! I can predict just like everybody else to include you. Like I stated, get over yourself and lets see if your team will have the right stuff come Friday against I-Town. :-D

Which, I am sticking with my view they won't. Just my observation, feelings, gut check, prediction and what ever else you want to add to those attributes. If you cannot accept that, sorry. :-D

Need to tell Ironton that, because the record is taken off their site.

ironman02,

You might want to (BE PREPARED TO) up-date the data come Friday Night for the I-Town Football Site with a 33-6-7 record, in favor of Ironton, if everything goes according to Coach L's plan at the TANK. :-D

You just don't get it do you? You have every right to have an opinion or make a prediction. If you said "I think Ironton will beat Jackson next week and here is why..." and broke down the game by matchups and strengths or weakenesses, that would be fine. You just don't do that though. You have to post the entire history of the Jackson-Ironton series to prove Ironton's dominance, predict an absolute blowout, and talk about how it won't be pretty for Jackson. Apparently you have no tact whatsoever.

Keep on goin, though. Entertain yourself some more.

I hope the best, but just don't see it. Good Luck. As I stated, get over yourself. Because no-one, including myself is sympathetic towards your whining about some one on here predicting one team over another. Hopefully, you one day, will realize your point matters just about as much as everyone elses on here.

I've never said that my opinion matters more than anyone else's opinion and you know that. You act like I'm the only person who ever calls you on this stuff. Apparently you've forgotten that you've done this kind of stuff to all the SEOAL schools in the past and all their fans say the same things I'm saying. Whatever, though. I'm the bad guy for saying that you shouldn't disrespect a team by counting them out of a game a week before it takes place.

ironman02,

Are you still on here :?:

If I was you, I would be getting ready for next weeks match-up instead of hanging AROUND our Chillicothe-Ironton Thread that is over :!:

The game was completed around 10:20 tonight.

Good Luck next week in your game against Ironton :!:

You make me laugh Army. How are you or 02 involved with the Chiilicothe or Jackson football programs? Fans? I thought so. I love how you think that you can include yourself with your program as if you have any kind of bearing on the outcome of the game. You dont control anything, nor does what anything that anyone says on here! Your how old? Your just as bad as 2old its just that 2olds team wins all the time and yours doesnt. When a team wins alot they start to get alot of haters. See Logan, Ironton, OHIO STATE for crying out loud! The whole nation hates OSU except Ohio! Yeah, i'll save your breath. Logan loses SOMETIMES, but not as often as your beloved Cavs :122249

I'm a graduate of Jackson High School and I support its athletic teams as a fan. I don't claim that anything I say on here has any bearing on what Jackson's football team does or doesn't do. I come here to talk about sports and get information about teams from around the area. I've always enjoyed watching Ironmen football and I'm proud of the program that Jackson has built. Should I not root for my team and support my former school?
