I have it on video, he was on about the 3 yrd line when the clip in the back happened. Just in case anyone was wondering. It didn't matter Gallia played a very good game. Their defense was the difference in the game. Our defense played great tonight, the best they've played all year. Our #19 dominated from the weak side DE position. He was living in their backfield all night. Cadogan played his best game of the year tonight. Our offense needed to help out tonight and just didn't get it done. Congrats to Gallia, and just keep working Men of Troy.

It really doesn't matter about the block in the back...it happened so fast it looked to me like he was in the endzone...the penalty definately happened behind the play but it really didn't matter...Because like I said in other posts we cannot blame the refs for theoutcome of games....You are exactly right the Gallia defense really played well today... I wish niday would get the plays in a lil faster because we took some unnecesary penalties there and we shot ourselves in the foot on a couple of drives.

Way to go Devils, it's starting to look like the loss to Ironton was a fluke, your game has been all uphill while the Tigers game has been the other direction.

Good luck the rest of the year.

Not to argue the call either way, but is it possible that the foul happened at the 3, but the ref couldn't get the flag out quickly enough?

Pictures of the gae are on http://www.gahssports.com I was experimenting with some settings on my camera so I got some really good ones and some blurry and some dark. There are a few interesting shots inthe mix.

Congratulations to the Blue Devils on the win........defensive battle all the way, as both offenses had opportunities to score but the stop troops had the upper hand.

I thought that Portsmouth made their best goal line stand of the year......stopping GAHS at the 1 yard line on 3rd and 4th down to turn them away.........and several other Blue Devil possessions in our territory resulted in the them having to punt or turn it over on downs. GREAT GAME BY THE DEFENSE!!!

I, too, thought that Nate Cadogen had a great game..........

Unfortunately for the Trojans the GAHS defense was just as stout.......even though we did march into their territory on several possessions.

Great to sit with my SEOPS buddies.....and always good to chat with GAHS4ever.....even though we disagree on a number of things, he is one my favorite people that I have met through SEOPS.

It was great to go for a 5.5 mile run through the French City before the game.....I got to Gallipolis early and decided to do a run through town......the first time ever running in Gallipolis.......enjoyed it very much........for the most part......LEVEL ground!!

GO TROJANS!!!

ON the Block in the back the runner was at the 3 and the block in the back was at the seven yard line. The ref was running behind them but couldnt keep up. He pulled his flag out as he was running and when he got to the spot where it happen he threw the flag. It was a good call. Sinceless block the kid that got blocked could not have caught the runner.

Like I aid the penalty really doesn't matter....I am sure though if it was a tie ballgame I would be saying a different thing but our defense stepped up and played like they had a chip on their shoulder....I haven't heard it talked about yet but how about the open field tackle by Jared Gravely...That was a solid hit...Wish someone had a clip of that.....ABout 5 people said "OUCH" after that one....

If your talking about the tackle that happen in front of the GAHS band section. Do you think that was good fundamental tackling?

A good runner bounces off an keeps on going.

It was a good win for Gallia Academy, but it sure wasn't pretty

By the way Nate was in the backfield all night or at least anytime he wanted to be.

^^^^^^ that is exactly right....I saw Cagogan in the backfield alot but I also saw our D-line blow right past him and I also saw our D-line handle him....It depended on who he lined up against...I was not impressed with him.....LoganLocos said it best...No Lineman in High School Look impressive...College Coaches look at them as a mold that can be formed....

Congrats to Nate, no matter who you Impress on here you are among the very few that get this kind of an offer.

karl agathon, your assessment of Nate was right on with the footwork thing. Nate C played extremely well and I walked away impressed with his quickness both straight ahead and laterally. He IS a better player than his brother was at the hs level. Best of luck to him in college. I didn't see him on the other side of the ball either.

Fool, yeah I know what you are getting at and "slow" is still "slow" but getting a little better at times. Still SLOW!!

Good game by the Devils. This group needs to find ways to put teams away when they have opportunities but other than that a great game especially by the d. Portsmouth had some really nice athletes and these young kids are going to only get better and be a force as they mature.

I thought Pethel was a huge difference maker in this game. The clip was a foolish play but that's how kids learn and get better. Keep working hard guys!! Good luck to both teams the rest of the season. Go Blue!
