Thanks for all the prayers! Janie is still hanging in there. She is so strong. There is going to be a candle light prayer service for Janie in Oak Hill Central Park on Saturday at 8:00. All are invitied. If you can't come to the park, try to say a little prayer for Janie about 8:00 Saturday night. Miracles happen everyday! Keep fighting Janie!!!!

Re: Prayers Needed for a Lady Oak
Janie has gone on to be with her lord and Savior. She passed on Sunday.
Many will say that she "lost" her battle with cancer. I would have to say that this is incorrect. Anyone that was around Janie whether through sports, 4H, or just life, knows that she was a winner. She is a winner because she went through this with bravery that a young woman should never have to go through. She is a winner because of all of the friends that she had and all of the lives she affected in a positive way. Most of all she is a winner because she accepted Jesus into her life. Even during this last week she asked her preacher to baptize her in her bed.
Anyone in Janie's life are also winners. We were blessed to have even been in her presence. Her smile, her laugh and her quiet confidence are what I will always remember of her.
She was everything that we ask the Lady Oaks to be. She represented her school, her community, and herself with character.
I think that her fellow freshman will have a great four years and Janie will be there every step of the way.
We Love you Janie.
