All I can say is if you are coming to the game, you had better get to the hill early because it will be packed. Burg MUST stop the running game of the Falcons and the Falcons MUST contain Shank.
Predicition later in the week.

Re: Game of the Week 7: Minford (6-0) vs. Wheelersburg (6-0)
I guarantee you that Minford has not seen a defense as fast as what the Burg will bring at them.
If Minford is unable to pass the ball with some success, Burg will just blitz the LB's like crazy and force the ball carriers outside of the running lanes, whereas the Burg's speed will come into play.
In the Burg's players eyes, yes this will be a tough game, but like everytime the Burg plays an opponent, they know they are in for a dogfight, even if on paper that team doesn't have chance because every team that the Burg plays would love nothing better then knocking off the Burg, so Burg has to prepare for this game like they do every other game on their schedule. I guarantee you that if you asked every team in the county that if you went 1-9 on the season, who would you want that one win to be against, the majority of them would say the Burg. That is just something that Burg fans and players have come to realize and that is why that everytime a Burg sports team steps onto a field or court, they go into that contest expecting to win that game. That is what gives them that extra swagger in their step. If they lose the contest they feel as if they have let thereselves, there teammates and the community down. Is it arrogant or cocky? No, I think it is a confidence and pride that is enstilled in every Pirate player from the first time they ever put on a uniform. Winners aren't born, they are made.
In Minford's eyes, this is there Superbowl. Win this and they have achieved what so very few have done over the years in the SOC and that is knock off the Pirates. Since 1980, it is something that Minford has only been able to do 4 other times. Is this they year for number 5. Only time will tell.
Least we forget how a strong Waverly team came into the Burg game last year, after totally dismantling the Pirates the year before and left with their tails between their legs.
Good luck Pirates. Roll on to SOC championship number 28.

Substitute Minford where Wheelersburg is referenced and vice versa. Ask Waverly how fast Minford is. Ask Oak Hill how fast Minford is. Wheelersburg will see a defense unlike they have seen all year and the same goes for the offense. This game will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and does the best job of executing their game plan. This was a close game last year that could have went either way. I expect another close game. The one definite thing that has changed is Minford is even better, deeper, stronger, and faster than last year. I am not sure that is the case with Wheelersburg. We'll see come Friday.
Minford will be hard at it Monday and continue to do what the have done......focus only on the upcoming game and EXPECT to win. Go Falcons!

That is completely uncalled for oldcoachb.
Why don't we try to keep this civil for a change. It was actually going pretty well until that assinine statement.

Re: Game of the Week 7: Minford (6-0) vs. Wheelersburg (6-0)
Can't wait for friday, and I am glad this game is on friday. They call it Friday Night Lights for a reason, just doesn't hardly seem like highschool football on saturday. Anyone who has ever played the game knows what I'm talking about when you step out of the locker room, look around at 5,000+ fans and prepare to run onto the field, the crowd so loud you can't hear anything, I have goosebumbs just thinking about it. Nothing like two area teams laying it all on the line for playoffs, SOC II title, and most of all respect! I'm sure this game will be absolutely packed, would be nice if burg would do some presale tickets this week. I predict a great game coming down to the last second, and of course I am going with the Mighty Minford Falcons. This is just one more step towards the ulitmate goal of the Falcons this year. Have a great week of practice and don't get too caught up in the hype this week Falcons, take care of business and add another W to the win column! Let's Go Big Red!

And in my eyes, I'm reading the words of an idiot. Who are you to say, this is Minford's SUPERBOWL!
If Minford wins, let's see how they act this time around. I don't care what anyone says, what Minford did the last time they won in 2000 at the Burg, was totally uncalled for. I don't care if your team has never beaten another team. You win with class and you lose with class, so that my friend is where the reference to it being Minford's Superbowl because they sure in hell acted like it after that night. They tore up chunks of the field to take with them, they were in the faces of the Burg players and if it hadn't of been some quick thinking on the Burg coaching staff, that could have turned into a full scale riot.

Yabba,
You're way off course, we never got in the Burg's players faces, and if I remember correctly our fans stormed the field and we werent tearing up your turf, I believe it was the massive celebration on your 50 yrd line that tore up your turf
. Oh and if I remember correctly your players tried to start a fight with us in 2001 while we were shaking hands after the game and swiftly got escorted to their locker rooms.

Both teams will be pumped up as it is, and they dont need to be on here reading this non sense, all this does is breed ignorance so lets please keep this thread reasonable this week.

We will agree to disagree and I'll drop it. You saw what you saw, I saw what I saw.
Here is to an injury free game for both teams.

You cant base an opinion on all Burg Posters on a few morons. Bottom line is both teams are playing well, obviously they are both undefeated. I expect Burg to win because I root for the Burg. No score prediction by me but an educated guess will be a low scoring game with one team winning by a score or two. Good luck to Minford and pray for a clean game with no injuries.
GO BURG!

Neither one of these schools coaches would condone behavior, and trash talking like this from their kids, and I dont think that we should fuel any fires that may be lingering.

How can we be politically correct when the man running our politics is grammatically incorrect?
