I noticed the lights were flickering when the Burg played Rock Hill 2 weeks ago.

Do you think that should be a concern?

Sorry, had to put that in there before someone else did.LOL

Don't worry Tobias, I will give you full details when I see you Saturday or Sunday after the game. Proud of Tobias Jr. hitting a HR on Saturday night. Nice hit, and he sure can fly.

How can you honestly say that with only seeing the Burg once and never seeing Minford? Please elaborate.

First of all let me make it clear.I am BURG thru and thru,I have seen the best of Burg teams and the worst. After watching Oak HIll play this last Friday night and knowing what Minford did to that team tells me Minford can play.Especially the shut out.The one game I have been able to go to watch Burg play was the Portsmouth team ooops my mistake,I watched the Burg,Ironton game so I have been to two. They are a good team but I think Minford defense will handle Burg's O line. I certainly hope not.But that is what my prediction was based on.And I read the blogs LOL.

I Don't want to predict a winner! Cause I just wanna see a VERY hard fought game, which I believe we will see! No blowouts! Yes I want to see a Burg victory, but I can't guarantee that this week!

All I can say is go Burg! And I hope I get a decent parking place!

Seen both teams play. Both are VERY talented. I obviously hope Minford wins. But, if they dont, no reason for the players or fans to be upset because Wheelersburg is good. No doubt. With that said, MINFORD BY 14 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Why Burg wins.....Players Who Have Scored This Season(So Far):BSchank, JSchank,B.White, Walker, Craigmiles, Adkins, Hopper, Kemper, Stegman, and A. White (Field Goals Certainly Count) That's 10 players who are a threat to score at any point during the game....and I'm not so sure that's all of them, Minford might have close to that, but my guess is that they don't have as many athletes as burg does. How do you teach a defense to contain all of those players?, I also think that Minford underestimates Burg's speed...Wheelersburg's overall team speed is unbelievable...It'll be a good game, but I wouldnt want to have to figure out how to Keep Burg out of the endzone, Because it'll be tough....35-17 Burg

I agree with the your post about Burg's speed but no way does Burg hang 35 on Minford's D. Just for Fun, I say Burg 21 - Minford 10. Burg gets a late TD to seal the deal.

Disclaimer: ***Obviously I addressed this, but this is indeed one year when it is an exception and this is a big game. It just makes me laugh because of how opposing teams always view it as a huge rivalry game and make out special t-shirts and stuff when it is generally not even close to a big game to the Burg.***

How do people not kind've find the different perceptions of this game funny?

Burg fans: Big game, only because Minford is 6-0 and we want to win another championship.

Minford fans: This is the biggest game ever. This is our biggest rivalry, we are huge rivals and we are going to beat them. As a matter of fact, we will make specials shirts for this game just for the 'Burg.

Could you imagine if the Burg made a shirt for a game like Minford? Minford sits here and calls us a rivalry, and they have beaten us 4 times in almost 30 years. There is no rivalry. The main reason this is a huge game isn't because of a rivalry, but because Minford is actually good for a change this year.

Minford fans, get over it. You are just another team to us, yet you act like it's the superbowl every time you beat us. Grow up and treat this like the Burg does, just another game, and a big game if both teams are undefeated like they are this year.

I hope for a good game, and I don't know who will win. I think Minford seems better on paper, but most SOC teams end up failing to live up to potential when they play the Burg, probably because of the hype they put on the game.

It just makes me sick that all these teams treat every time they play the Burg as a huge deal and make a fool of themselves by making special t-shirts for a specific team year in and year out when most of them aren't even remotely our biggest rivals, or even rivals at all(If we more than double your win total in the history of the series, I doubt we think of you as huge rivals. Focus more on winning and improving your team overall and less about just beating the Burg, instead of making yourselves look foolish by pulling these antics every single year vs the Burg).

Did you know ? The last three Minford wins against the Burg, there was a Slone playing linebacker for Minford. This year the youngest of those brothers Mark is a starting outside linebacker.

You just ruined it for me. I guess I'll stay home now since I already know who will win now.
