WK 7 South Point @ Coal Grove
Re: SOUTH POINT VS COAL GROVE
I said from the beginning of the season that the winner of this game wins the OVC. I'm not sure who I'm going to pick yet, but I predict a good close game.

3 or more TD's......................really
This will be a really close game that will come down to the end, South Point is good but at last check they have the same record as Coal Grove. It will all come down to who makes the fewest mistakes this week.

I will stick to my guns ,I think South Point playes tougher compititon than the rest of the OVC . The Pointers win this game and the league.

I'm curious, is the 0 part of the final score, or is it your IQ?

I`ve said this at the first of the year !
South Point 28
Coal Grove 12
Re: SOUTH POINT VS COAL GROVE
At the beginning of this season, i said South Point will finish this season 7-3 with their only losses being Portsmouth, Wheelersburg, and Portsmouth West...im stickin with what i said so i say SP wins this and wins the OVC as well...SP by 2+ TD's
Re: SOUTH POINT VS COAL GROVE
They lost to Portsmouth? Wow, I would've thought the point could've handled them Trojans this year. What was the final?

Even match. SP slightly ahead becase of a more diverse offense. SP by 7.
Re: WK 7 South Point @ Coal Grove
i'm going with CG on this one because I know they have it in them.
On the other hand, I haven't seen South Point play.
Coal Grove has shown to progressively get better every week. If this stays truth, I think they have a good chance.
But it will be a close game.

Re: WK 7 South Point @ Coal Grove
portsmouth sucks this year so what is the point of listing them?????? grove cruises through the weakest league in so. ohio with another win
Re: WK 7 South Point @ Coal Grove
I am picking the Pointers if we have our two starters back from injuries! They did not play at River Valley.
Re: WK 7 South Point @ Coal Grove
If the Hornets keep racking up the penalty yards, they'll lose this game by multiple scores. 85 yards in penalties Friday - not acceptable. Also, if Coal Grove's players don't learn to get a hand up and knock passes down, they'll be in big trouble not just for this game, but also in the RV and Fairland games. Bottom line: if Coal Grove plays like they did against Chessy, they'll lose and lose big.
Diverse offense? Portsmouth West doesn't have a diverse offense at all and they manhandled South Point. It's about execution, not diversity. There was nothing diverse about Coal Grove's offense last year but South Point's defense was exhausted from getting the ball ran down their throats all night.
I would have agreed with this last year, but not so much this year. Wheelersburg is a tough game and so is West. The other three look kinda suspect.
Coal Grove's games against Minford and Paint Valley make Coal Grove's schedule just about on par with the Pointers' at this point, IMO.
Both teams are still in the playoff hunt at this point, especially South Point who is currently sitting at #11 in Region 15, I believe. Coal Grove 16th in Region 19.
