Burg is 9-1 vs SVC schools in the programs history with the only loss coming from Piketon. Just tossing that out there and yes take it worth a grain of salt. If Valley wins tomorrow don't they run into the same problem as Jackson? Can't imagine OHSAA gives Portsmouth the game, darn near burgs backyard, but that's why you get the 1 seed. One would think Waverly logically.

This game should be played at Portsmouth High School. If the Burg plays like they did tonight, it could be closer than most think against Zane Trace. Stupid penalties, turnovers and bad decisions. Ridgewood was a good team and they hung around for awhile because of the Pirate miscues.

The Burg has to play Burg football next week and it will be no contest.

Waverly is the perfect location for this game. Located in between both schools for fair travel. Great, GREAT field with fencing around the track which is required. Ample seating, plenty of parking, very easy to get in and out of (parking and stadium), great food and amazing hospitality.
Portsmouth and Chillicothe have parking issues and both of those locations would favor one team over the other in travel. I don't believe Valley applied and Jackson has turf issues.

I would take that bet, Burg played sloppy with turnovers and still dominated a year in year out Inter Valley team.

I will give them respect for making it this far, but I do believe the “Cinderella Season “ ends next week.
