Whos Jamon Jackson? I dont remember him.

haha now it all makes sense!
That's a nasty thing to say about such a well respected man! Coach Lutz did go to the weight room and does take an interest in his players. You should be ashamed of yourselves to talk this way. I read posts on here that state kids don't respect their coaches, teachers, etc. and why should they when they have such sterling examples set for them.
If your son is a player..............why dont you ask him about the situation???????

I don't know where he was from originally. I know I saw Jermon play in the eighth grade for Ironton though. I don't know how many feet away he was born from Tank Stadium either...but in the eighth grade, again, he was a Tiger
Who WOULDN'T want to see another Jermon Jackson at their school? What a rare talent a player like Jackson is. I remember people coming from all over the Tri-state to Ironton just to watch him when he was a kid play football.

What about the Lamb kid from Fairland?????
He had his own reasons for coming here and I believe that is his business. I think zebra was referring to the majority of the kids.

What situation? Coach Lutz was at weight lifting, I saw him myself.

For your consideration:
When Ironton rejoined the SEOAL in the late 60's after being in the COL for a few years, the typical graduating class was 200 or more; mine was about 206.
The Class of 2008, according to the graduation special section of the Ironton Tribune, had about 100.
Anybody that thinks such a shrinkage has no effect is delusional, in my humble opinion.
And barring some unlikely population explosion in the city, it's going to get even worse (I've heard anywhere from 90 down to 70 within the next few years).
That reminds me of a certain Seinfeld episode.
I remember that one,,poor ole George
good to see you posting again starnger.
Thank you Sir!

Hammerdown, I know you were talking to zebra, I just thought I would answer for him since he wasn't at the computer. Unfortunately, wives do tend to answer for their hubbys sometimes.

looks to me like the tigers are hitting stride right in time, the main thing scares me, is a certain rb, that carries the ball like a loaf of bread till he gets in traffic. you never know who's beside or behind you. hold it tight all the time. like it's mom's china.transfer to outside arm. so if it goes out of bounds , you still have possession. if you don't know who you are, everybody do it. jmho.

Re: Whats wrong with Tiger football
i'm challenging a certain linemen, to keep his head high and his butt low, and drive right through the players , like you are plenty capable of doing. when you make a big play, try to follow it up with 3 more. do not take the next play off. it's funner running over your man, and owning him. on defense lose your guy, get to the ball. destroy everything, in opposite colors. on offense drive and keep in contact with your guy, if you have to chase him for a 3 count. you won't hold, block downfield, and your man, won't get the tackle. if you are not sure who i'm talking about. then just everybody do it. i'll be watching.

I wish they would also........
Re: Whats wrong with Tiger football
One thing that is wrong with Ironton Football that has also been a problem during some of the playoff runs is being inconsistent with extra points. This years team maybe able to score TD but in a close game especially during the playoffs one point can make a difference.

I aplochize tigermama i didn't mean any disrespect towards you in anyway. He is a lucky man to have you as his wife. Feel free to take up for me any time you wish.
You don't owe me an apology, but thank you. He knows he's lucky to have me, I remind him daily.
