Meigs at Eastern

Post by cobweb »

With Meigs winning the first match of the season the rematch between Eastern and Meigs was staged last night at Eastern. The Eagles attacked the Marauders from the very beginning and would not let up until they had won in three. Meigs made each game a good set but really never threatened to win in any of the three. Led by their four seniors, the Eagles played the match at a heightened level as if they were out to prove something.

Tonight is Senior Night at Eastern (Fed Hoc). Congratulations to all of the seniors! You and your teammates have had your ups and downs this year but have worked hard and produced a very respectable record, 16-4 to date and with a chance to tie with Waterford as TVC Hocking Division champions. This chance requires Trimble to beat Waterford tonight and then loose to Eastern in Glouster Thursday night. Eagles, you have your work cut out for you. Focus on the target and ring up a bull’s eye.

Play hard and smart and go deep into the tourney!!!

Edit: rechecked the scores, game 2 was too close to say that Meigs did not threaten to win, sorry!
