Re: Clay Panthers 2009
the seniors last year were definetly good. they all done exactly what they were suppose to. kirkpatrick led off getting on base. stole a lot of bases. robinson would hit him to 3rd at least. then parker had the power to drive them all in. if not blanton could. but that was last year. this year presents a new set of challenges which will be close to starting over. not many players other than the seniors scored or hit well. it will be a rebuilding year but could turn out to be a good year if the players listen to caoch robinson.
that being said i have done nothing but read about this mccleese kid. if he was throwing knuckleballs and 95 mph fastballs he would be a complete moron to go to clay. scouts would be on this kid right now like stink on a turd if he could do that. hopefully im wrong and he throws a knuckler like wakefield and has a 105 mph fastball because nobody would be able to touch him. ole rosemounter might just have to put the tennis shoes back on and help coach robinson a couple times this year to see just what this kid can do. but until then i am not going to get my hopes up.

pollard and puckett r not the best players hate to say theres plenty of more comin up that have had experience like burchett and mckenzie.....mckenzie is an awesome 2nd baseman
Puckett has the most experience on the team! Burchett is a go to man, and can play anywhere on the field(3rd pitcher).
Sounds like you have a little of a man-crush on Burchett and Mckenzie.
I do agree that you can't single people out it's gonna take every bit of talent and coaching for the panther this Season......not just two people

I heard mckenzie was at risk which would have been a huge blow to the team.
I've heard recently though that his grades are back on track and he will be fine to play.

Clay hasn't even started the season yet and they have already lost a player. Catcher/3rd baseman Aaron Crumm can't play this year due to his left knee. I heard he (most likely) has to have surgery on it.
