Re: WK 8 Chillicothe @ Jackson
Looks like Chilli should roll into week 10 6-0 in the SEOAL and 7-2 overall setting up a big showdown with Logan.
BUT, Jackson is a VERY tough place to play and both Logan and Chillicothe have to play there before they play each other. I know the last time Chillicothe was there the game didn't go their way, and the last time Logan was there it took a miraculous drive in the last minute of the first half to get Logan the "W."
The Ironmen took it on the chin last week. They will play hungry this week.
Still, Chillicothe has too much for the Ironmen. Young and Knights are playmakers and with the way Chillicothe shut down Ironton's running game, it doesn't bode well for Jackson.
Good Luck and Good Health to both teams.

I think if the CAVS continue to hone in on what they have accomplished and work to improve on the few area's our CAVS need to make, they will be O.K. at Jackson. With that said, Jackson is an opponent our CAVS don't take lightly or for granted either, they remeMber all to well 2006. I am looking forward to this game.
May the game be an injury free played one and one that will portray great sportsmanship between both respected SEOAL Schools.

Thief,
I don't have to do nothing. If our Chillicothe Cavaliers win the SEOAL Championship, by the grace of God, it will be the kids. Not any poster on here, who is huffing and puffing or thumping their chest, that's for sure. Only the kids on those two teams will have the final say in that. Period
And by the way, our CAVS have beat your chieftans. Of course this will be our first SEOAL game against your chieftians. And it's on the Herrnstein at Chillicothe
As you can see:
Chillicothe leads the series 5-4 verses Logan
1990 Chillicothe 17 Logan 6 AT Logan
1991 Logan 13 Chillicothe 0 AT Chillicothe
1993 Chillicothe 60 Logan 28 AT Logan
1994 Chillicothe 40 Logan 21 AT Chillicothe
2003 Logan 9 Chillicothe 0 AT Logan
2004 Chillicothe 29 Logan 28 AT Chillicothe
2005 Logan 29 Chillicothe 23 AT Logan
2006 Chillicothe 31 Logan 21 AT Chillicothe
2007 Logan 47 Chillicothe 18 AT Logan
By the way, don't you all have a game with Warren this week or something
NOW BACK TO THIS WEEKS GAME
I am sure Coach D and his staff will have the Cavalier Kids ready for Jackson. I hope huff is O.K. He's a great running back for the Ironmen.

i've checked this whole topic, in ernest trying to find out how cody huff is. i sure would have liked to have seen him against my fighting tigers. i'm sure it would have been a bigger test for the tigers, which they need right now. but does nobody actually know how he is. jackson may just be keeping it under their hat till game time. but i surely hope he is okay. if anyone knows pm me, i'm like talking to a drop box. once it goes in, it don't come out. well, hope both squads have a great game. and good health. obviosly we at ironton are rooting for the ironmen, for thew points. but we respect both programs, and enjoy playing both of you. hope cody is up and running.

From our interview with Coach Wolford on Saturday Morning on the Scoreboard Show. Coach Wolford basically called it a sprained neck. He went on to say that Cody was wearing a neck brace and he was unsure as to whether he would be ready for the Cav's or not. I will say that Cody is a super tough kid and if there is any way possible for him to go, he will certainly do it. Coach Wolford also said that he felt that Ironton was alot better than their record indicates and thought Ironton would really make some noise if they get into the playoffs.

After last week all I can say is WOW.....Chilli is the real deal this year....Young is a bruiser and Knights didn't disappoint....I was very imppressed...Should be an awesome game in week 10 but just remember as Army always says...One game at a time....Jackson is a very tough opponent and they can suprise you.....Don't overlook them... I think the Chilli staff will have their men prepared and I will take Chilli by 2 TD's......Goodluck to both teams......GO SEOAL.....

Re: WK 8 Chillicothe @ Jackson
IMO, Jackson needs to win this week against Chillicothe and against Logan if they are to reach the postseason. That being said, Chillicothe needs to win this week and/or against Logan to secure a postseason berth. A lot on the line for each team.

fbfever,
I agree. The next two games are must wins for Jackson if they are to have a shot at the playoffs. Definitely a tall order for the Ironmen, though. Chillicothe and Logan are clearly the two best teams in the SEOAL at this point, so it will take an amazing effort by the Ironmen. I'm not counting them out until it's all said and done though.

Re: WK 8 Chillicothe @ Jackson
I like the CAVS in this one. They are believing in each OTHER, staying committed to the coaches plan, executing the plays and taking no one in the SEOAL for granted this season. Especially Jackson
If the CAV Defense continues to stuff the run and prevent the pass from getting first down yardage, they will be fine. Thus, giving the ball back to Caleb and the CAVALIER Offense, which continues to grow and expand, utilizing multiple players, and using different offensive sets. The extra players are getting serious playing time on the field, giving them experience along side the starters.
We hope Cody Huff is O.K.

Re: WK 8 Chillicothe @ Jackson
I think way too many people worry about the playoffs. If your team takes care of business week-in and week-out, the post season takes care of itself.

If the CAVS keep playing like they have and continue to build on each weeks success, this could be done early. But our kids are not taking Jackson lightly. They respect the Ironmen and their program and remember all to well 2006. The CAVS will be prepared and ready

Why shouldn't you worry about the playoffs? If it's one of the team's goals, then they need to be aware of it. Should a team not worry about winning the SEOAL title? You obviously have to focus on each game during each week, but you also need to have a sense of the big picture. Winning every week will take care of that, but when you're sitting at 5-2 and another loss will prevent you from achieving a team goal, you need to have a sense of urgency.
