Just a guess but up at South Bend a lot of the younger tailgaters play the Dropkick Murphys. They rock.

I wish you would expect more from yourself and take the high road. Your discontent with what is going on with Portsmouth East elementary should not bleed over into this forum. That kind of attitude will not help your Sciotoville Community move forward.

My dislike for Notre Dame football has nothing to do with discontent with what is going on with East Portsmouth Elementary! Even though it may not seem like it at times it is a rivalry game! But, with that aside! Mostly, the reason that alot of Sciotoville fans dislike Notre Dame and their fans is for this! They act like their stuff doesn't stink and think that they are better than Sciotoville folks! There it is! I said it! Most people want to say and fear the back-lashing from making such a comment! But, I said! And, if you would probably ask the rest of the teams that you have played for as long as our two teams have played; they would probably say the same! The repugnance that has been developed has been cultivated and been developed by Notre Dame fans! A couple of big time ND Alumni a few years ago making comments about Sciotoville people are nothing but a bunch of Holland Bend trailer trash! Because they were not allowed to go up in the crows nest; as if they rate it or something! As if, you should bend the rules for the priveldeged of ND and that it was their prerogative to refer to a special advantage or rights that they possessed by an individual or group! Well, I can tell you this! They were turned away and then their true colors came out! And, that my friend was displayed in front of a whole pressbox full of people! And, it sort of solidified what everybody's conclusion in the first place about how they were!

I know that these couple of ND people do not represent the entire ND fan base! But, it sure seems to be the same cloak that the majority of the mass wears!

Also, players going out on to the field before the game and spitting and taking their cleats and writing the letters F U on the shield! That was observed by several people and it is know which player that did it! But, we never said anything; we just had the man that painted it come over and touch-it up before the game! This player happens to still play on the team!

Again, is there any wonder why? Negative! I call it strong emotions that tend to lean to unfavorable feelings!

One more thing before I finish with this dirt_cinders. Your son is one of the kids on this team that is a model student/athlete! He plays hard, clean and has alot of great sportsmanship in his character! I think highly of him and you and do not consider you as one of these fans that I am speaking of. You are one of the few ND alumni that I speak to other than Coach Keller!

I hope no injurys occur on either side of the ball tonight or when we play! But, I will be pulling for the Green Bobcats!
