I do recall an undefeated minford team coming to Portsmouth West in 03. And ended up getting spanked. That game, Pendleton was a sophomore and he gashed the great minford defense that held wheelersburg scoreless 2 weeks before. So you might want to check your history before you go saying it was against THREE SENIORS.

I can guarantee you west would not be 3-4 if they played portsmouth's schedule. I have heard portsmouth fans say that West is one of the best teams they have played.

Our line is pretty good, They get better everyweek. And if you think that the backs are average. Boy are you going to be in for a surpise my friend. Think about this, You have seen two games this year on the internet. The backs didn't touch the ball hardly against Rockhill as we were trying different sets. And against Waverly we got up so big that they didn't get very many touches. They have yet to play a full game this year. And with all the yards they have on an average of 6 carries a game. And has yet to play in the 4th qtr. Don't worry either my friend, We take care of the conditioning all week in practice. They will just flat wear you down.

Yeah your right GOAT (how ironic), Minford will probably be like West playing a Jr High program Friday night. I dont know how Minford beat those 6 other teams. I guess that 42-14 against Waverly was not at all a blowout, it was right down to the wire, right?

Siderman- I actually gave you a compliment on your good point about the Wing T. I guess if you see your name mentioned by a Minford person you just go nuts without reading into it.

You guys have Bricker. I will give you that. Good kid and good athlete. As far as the others go, well they really didnt impress me last year, but a year later can make a difference.

It will be a good ball game Friday night. I in no way see the 28-7 scores in favor of West to be accurate.

Here is a thought- Minford has played teams that slightly compare to West as far as power backs and good LB's and DE's. West has not played a team so far this year that remotely matches up with them on both sides of the ball with a great mixture of speed and power.

West has had many a blowout this year....that is what is going to hurt them come crunch time Friday night.

after watching both teams play minford once and west several on nextvsports---minford will win the game friday with a low score. 17-14

west o-line and d-line is not very good with the exception of #79. minford way too fast for west.

west will still have one of the best if not the best player in the soc#11.
shut #11 down At QB, TE, WR the rest of the backs are average.

minford should not let #15 come off of the feild for any reason on both sides of the ball. he is by far their best weapon but doesnt stay on the field offensively. He needs to play FB and let #41 block for him.

Obviously you haven't seen west play if you think are runningbacks are just average. I mean one of our runningbacks is the srongest and fastest kid on the team, but he's just average. Your gonna see average when they all blow by minford's d-fence friday.

pretty easy to stop one man show.. plus waverly pretty beat up after minford that came from somone from waverly..

Waverly was not beat up after the Minford game. They were beat up going into the Minford game. Malone did not practice the week before, Jake Kretzer was about 60% coming off a fever and out biggest, strongest lineman did not play.

like i said one man show , minford could have scored 2-3 more times but put in jv and freshman midway in 3rd qtr.. and waverly still could not score.. good luck to minford and west ..

By the way, doesn't really matter but IMO the Seagraves kid is as good or better than any back in the SOC. Minford has no one with his combo of size, power, and speed. He is outstanding, and evidently some good schools are recruiting him.

Minford has to many weapons for West, Slone, J.Williams, A. Williams, McCormick, and Bryan should all have good games in this one and if they cant get it done then look for Oesch to McKnight or Malone all night over those tiny corners. Minford-28, West-14

minford has played a weak schedule also the only good team they've played beat them so why is it everyone thinks minford good.wheelersburg beat a 500 ironton team and the rest of the teams they have played has been the teams west has played.imo all three teams have played weak schedules and minfords failed thier first test. i think minfords expectations were a little to high for the lack of talent and size for the soc2 maybe in the soc1 they might be able to compete.west will blow them out if the refs don't keep minford in the game

Ask Jackson how weak ironton is. Using your math waverly should have blew the burg off the feild last year. The burg was probably smaller last yr than this yr, you guys need to get over the size thing. Every game I have watched the burg play this yr with the exception of the sp game the burg has physically beat their opponents. Its always the other team that has players laying on the feild or players needing help to get to the sidelines.
