some burg fans that attended tonights game said that minford didnt look like the same team. minfords D looked confused.

they also said that west looked much improved from last year.

i guess the 3 head went to 4 before the game but after the game its now a 2 head. this is getting very confusing. by the 10th game it will be 8 headed.

Good game by the Siders you all have a good team...If you can keep your emotions intact you guys can beat the Burg, but with all the stupid penaltys its going to be hard to do. I mean you cant have kids arguing in the refs faces and fighting with other teams players after the whistle was blown. That has always been West knock and its no different here in 08. Good luck and Good Health the rest of the way.

I must say this as I am not a fair weather fan, that Minford was absolutely embarassing to watch last night, there were a coulple of times I just sat their thinking to myself, wheres the offense that scored 40+ 3-4 times this year? I mean hell they couldnt even get the QB/C snap right for gods sake, where are the fundamentals 1 arm tackling, cant hold onto the football, and what in the heck was that defense or offense for that matter. I must give West credit as they were physically dominating the LOS but, It was like our boys didnt know where to be half of the time. I would say that Coach D will make it a long week of practice (as it should be). If Minford plays like this next week they could even let Northwest into a game that they have no business being close in.

West has a very good team. Their line was better than I thought. Minford gave up after failing to score right after the strip. The call backs on TDs were all on clear penalties that directly impacted the play. I was on the fence watching the game when the fake punt was run. The Minford coaches were screaming fake before West broke the huddle. West and Wheelersburg both have excellent teams. To advance in the playoffs after the first game, each has to get a passing game together. Mimford is @ 8 in the region and if they win out should be in the playoffs again. Valley must be improving so that will be a good game. 8-2 and two straight years in the playoffs. That is really good. Let's get it together and not start doubting. If Minford wins out and West beats Burg, the playoff game will be at Burg.

Last night, the Minford players on defense were in postion to make the tackle but failed to execute. Swords is the real deal and ran through a lot of arm tackles. I like the pistol that West runs.

OK so we are ALL pumped about week 10! !st of all let's play week 9! Cause I sure as heck ain't ready for this season to be over! (regular season that is!) 2nd of all. For all of you who have posted that Burg better be ready or if anyone in the Burg post last week said West better be ready, Don't be stupid. Both teams, players & coach know the magnitude of this game coming up but cannot look ahead. And when that week comes BOTH teams will be pumped, and ready to go for the best game of the season!!

Only if you are one of the refs would you know what was being said on the field. This West team holds their composure very well. I mean there were at least 2 late hits by Minford where the West QB was out of bounds and on other late hit that it looked like the ref was maybe giving him a polite warning. So give me a break and quit trying to give some boys that have worked hard and playing tough some credit. As far of the penalaties maybe they were ligit but if so they have played very disiplined football all year with few penalities.

fanatic23 if west has played a soft schedule to and yet to face a good team then how can you say that west will blow them out and if minford isn't a good team then how is it that they gave burg a tough game and nearly one that game if it wasn't for some stupid mental breakdowns.

update!!!! I have said in the past WEST by 3tds, I no longer believe this to be the case Im now saying WEST by 4tds. Thats all I have to say and you will not hear from me again on this matter or post. GO WEST!!!!!!!!!!

What a joke! If West has played such a strong schedule why are they undefeated and ranked 7th in the computer polls? They are barely in the playoffs now. Minford with 1 loss is third and was #1 before lossing to an undefeated team. Minford at home wins this one by two touchdowns if not more. Minford is too fast for West and p!$$ed about letting last week slip away with 5 turnovers that decided their fate.

P.S.......west is not as fast as minford and is not as physical as what people think......sure they have good runningbacks but that o-line is just mediocre at best and that will show up tonight

It's very simple. It diminishes a very good win.

If you want success and if you want respect, earn it on the field and quit whining about little crap after you have won a big game.

You guys/gals deserve the pat on the back because you have earned it. Don't allow a couple of perceived bad calls take the spotlight away from your tremendous victory.

all you guys did after the burg game was cry about the refs and turnovers give me a break west had 121 more penalty yards than minford.in high school football you could call holding just about every play west had 8 holding calls to minfords 0. the one ref threw 9 flags against west and if minford had these same refs at all of thier home games i understand why thier record is 7-2.refs can sometimes help determine the outcome of the game and this needs to be adressed.anyone that was at that game can honestly say the refs kept this alot closer than it really was. i know west won and i'm happy but look at the big picture it's just not fair to the kids.


imo minford is not as advertized by all the minford posters
