Its going to take better line play like the Jackson game if the Blue wants to win.

Offense will go only as far as the line play will let them.

I have a gut feeling the line will show up, an we will win.

GO BLUE DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bballin fool there was alot of free rides back in those days. Just ask a former Gallia Academy head football coach an a former Meigs head girls basketball coach.

Talking about a funny ride!!!!!!!!!!! :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8 :aaaaa8

I agree with you 4-ever about the "mystique" is not over. But you do have to admit the big games against Logan, Chilli, and Ironton sure don't help us when playoff time comes. We need to play a lot better in these big games to compete in week 11.

I think this week should be a big win. Wellston probably hasn't seen the spread very often so it will be very difficult for them to defend. Good luck Blue this week!!!

28-13 Blue

I remember too, long ago, when a group of determined young men played to the last minute in an SEOAL Game, stopping Valentine and Saunders from making the big play, who I might add, were the stars on that Gallipolis Blue Devil Team. The game was on Wellston's field. What a night that was for our team :!: :-D

1975 Wellston 15 Gallipolis 6 (W) :-D

Believe in each other and play like no other time.

Good Luck Golden Rockets :!:

Let me clarify my statement from earlier. Would most teams in this area love to have the record and tradition of Gallia Academy football?....absolutely! Do I think the Gallia Academy program is in bad shape?...of course not. However, I can remember a time when the Devils were completely feared by most teams in this area and dominated their opponents. I just dont see that anymore. I dont hear people talking like they used to about the Devils. Teams are not as afraid as they once were....that could be due to some good coaching but there was a time that if you went to Memorial Field...you were going to lose.....WHile I am not a graduate of Gallia Academy I have always respected their football program and really want them to be the program they once were.

Army you mention both those names you have to be going back to around 1975- 1976. If so, Valentine an Saunders are both in the Gallia Academy Hall Of Fame.

BLUE DEVILS
WILL BE AT EASE BACK IN THEIR HOME TURF AND ARE FIRED UP FOR A WIN BOUNCING BACK FROM A TOUGH ROAD LOSS. THIS TEAM HAS SHOWN THE ABILITY TO GET UP AFTER A BIG LOSS ALREADY THIS SEASON. I FEEL THE SPREAD AS MENTIONED EARLIER WILL GIVE WELLSTON SOME PROBLEMS.

OUR YOUNGER PLAYERS HAVE CONTINUED TO IMPROOVE AND I SEE THIS GAME AS A BLUE DEVIL VICTORY. THE WEATHER IF BAD COULD BE AN EQUALIZER MAKING IT ANYBODIES BALLGAME.

GO BLUE !!! GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS
