Vc lost 6 games for many reasons. we won't discuss 5 of them, but the 1 loss is what we're discussing. The officals took that game from vc! Just like they do when most teams go to Belpre!!!!

Ron B.
I was at the 2007 VC-Belpre game on the goal line on the Belpre sideline. if you remember, VC had a last opportunity at about the two yard line to put the ball into the end zone.
The Belpre defense did stop them, but I noticed a very unusual move by the man in the white hat behind the VC offense. As soon as the ball was snapped, he reached for his flag so that if VC scored it would also be called back for some phantom infraction as others were during the course of the game. I just shook my head and left the stadium.
I also remember a FG in late 80's which beat VC as time ran out. Everyone knew the kick was no good. Even the kicker was stomping around with his head down because he knew he had missed it, but miraculously, the white hat signaled that the kick was good.
I'm not whining, just stating some facts.

Ron Burgandy...
4 of your 8 posts since you joined SEOPS have been to complain about last years game. I think it is time to grow up and move on.

I will weigh in here. The officiating last season was at best, questionable. There were four touchdowns that were called back for Vinton County. However, what doomed the Vikings more than anything was the five turnovers they committed, four interceptions and a lost fumble, that is resulted in the 7-0 score for a Belpre win.

I dated an official from Belpre. She never took off her dark sunglasses and that dog that was always with her wouldnt let me even put my arm around her. I was called for offsides 42 times.

I'm in agreement with Ron B.
Officials can change the outcome of a game and in this case, IT DID! Worst officiating I have ever encountered.
Anyways, I take VC in this one by a touchdown.

I was at that game last year and you could see VC holding from the stands and maybe even from outer space. Well you must have not been watching the same game.

I taped last years game and I have watch it many times. VC did not have four TDs called back. There were two passes called back that were only 10-15 yds. Vc at most had one TD called back. I agree with you on that the turnovers aided their loss.

Mr. Williams, Vinton County had 30 pass attempts and 38 rushes last week, that is a nice balance.
