Whatever....you telling me he wasn't a big strong sophomore that doesn't have a lot of the physical gifts that a football coach could build into a very good player? On the basketball court he moved well for a sophomore his size and displayed good hands and footwork.

Sorry, forgot you know exactly what to look for in football, for that matter just about every sport. J/K of course......

Seriously though....I'm not an expert on anything, but he just looked like the kinda kid who could wear a number in the 70's and dominate the end of a line......do you seriously not agree?

He's had a very solid two years of Varsity football under his belt, starting the last half of his freshman season and all of his sophomore season on the O-line. He definitely moves well for a kid of that size and when you factor in that he's just a sophomore, I think it makes it even more impressive. He's definitely provided them with a legitimate big man to go with McBee on the perimeter and the athletes on the wings.

I agree 100 % 92 he has played center for the football team for 2 years. Moves well for big young kid . Surely will get some d 1 looks on the gridiron. From what I have heard those will be pretty significient div 1 schools .

Tough loss for the Falcons........but the future looks good for Minford basketball because they have 4 starters back for next season.........I felt watching the Gullion kid in the summer that he was good enough to start on the varsity.........and he played well. McCray played a very good game, and unfortunately the last shot just wouldn't go down for him. Howard also played well for Minford.

I thought that Jackson did an outstanding job guarding McBee, he had to work all night just to get the few open looks that he had..........most of the night the Ironmen shadowed him everywhere. Colt Chapman showed why he is one of the best players in the SE District, as he tallied over half of JHS's points.

I said before the season that Jackson would be a pesky team for anybody in the SEOAL, and I am very much concerned when my Trojans come to JHS Gymnasium later this season........and after watching Minford, I feel the Falcons could win somewhere around 12-13 games and be a headache for a tournament opponent.
