Even worse than the first matchup!
Great job Valley. Good luck next week. Hopefully it will be some revenge against Wynford as the main course!

After the tigers win last night I drove down to support CG. They looked good 1st half. But looked extremely out of shape the 2nd half. Never seen such a lopsided half. Nice season CG. Congrats on making playoffs

23 pt win....glad we eclipsed the first time for everythingRAILROADN wrote:dreamweaver wrote:Not a good contest in my opinion. 21 pt margin, Valley.
Guess there's a first time for everything. Valley has beaten 3 teams with winning records this season. CG by 16, wheelersburg by 2 and Minford by 7. :122246

good game considering the nasty cold rain. Great job again Indians
Re: #8 Coal Grove (6-3) @ #1 Lucasville Valley (10-0)
Indians improve to 23-1 in the last 2 seasons...and this payoff win puts the indians at .500 all time in th post season.

Yes but I'm guessing you were a little nervous the 1st half. And I'm pretty sure Wynford will be a little better than 6-4 CG was tonight. CG was out of shape, they were out of gas after 1 half of football but I must say they looked great for 1 quarter! Lol.

Are you talking overall or the run of personal fouls once Valley started to pull away? The reason I ask is CG's 1st half effort was pretty good, but that style is so hard to sustain.fuzzhead wrote:Terrible game. Disgraceful performance CG.
Congrats on a good season CG.

I think CG played OK, but they were clearly outmatched against a much more talented Valley team. If I was CG coach I would have taken some more chances (go for it on 4th down in second quarter on Valley side of field, onside kick start of second half, etc) to try and make up the talent difference.
Great season CG
(If you are talking about the personal fouls then yes I agree, 4 personal fouls over 5 play span is pretty bad)

There is no doubt that Wynford will be better than Coal Grove. Valley is in for a stiff test and one heck of battle... Regardless though, Valley is 11-0 after graduating one extremely decorated senior class. They are the lone representative left from SOC II for the 2nd straight season, and will be playing for their 3rd regional title appearance in the last 7 years.
I'm guessing you didn't see this season coming?
Re: #8 Coal Grove (6-3) @ #1 Lucasville Valley (10-0)
Railroadn...I was too surprised by how coal grove took it to Valley the first few series...but just as soon as they looked good they would shoot themselves in the foot and make large mistakes...but after the first quarter it was like their gas tank was completely empty...the line at best was standing straight up...no firing out...numerous defensive backs would stand and watch...never seen such a poor effort after such a great first quarter effort...like they were told they could quit after one quarter...the team discipline was lacking...very out of shape to be week eleven...expected much more...

man, i didn't get to go , something came up here, that couldn't be helped. and i missed it. i was bummed. great year by the coal grove hornets, and sounds like valley rolls on, the indians have amassed 11 wins in 11 tries. you can't ask for more than that.

The "premium" parking was disbanded at direction of the school board. The schools only collect $1.20 of each presale ticket, depending on where the ticket was sold. Everything at the gate goes straight to OHSAA. But the school does charge OHSAA a fee for the use of the stadium for this event.hornetnut wrote:I think that Valley charged for parking the last time we were up there. I believe that they even had a preferred parking fee also. Don't remember what the two fees were. Also, Coal Grove did have a 10th game with a KY team. Pike Co. I think, and Pike backed out of the contract late in the summer. The CG Athletic Director tried to fill the date but was unsuccessful. Pretty certain that the two schools (CG and Valley) get a percentage of the pre-sale gate revenue.
If I find out where parking money goes, I'll post it.
