I love how Peake fans can't admit that Fairland played well. I'm sorry, but if McMasters had less than 4 shot attempts in a half, Fairland is doing something right.

Everyone on here does nothing but make excuses for why their team lost.. We all know who I'm for.. I wasn't there but... I heard officiating was horrible both sides.. And yeah Peake didn't play well.. Why.. Because fairland shut them down.. But couldn't capitalize... I said before this game.. If you shut mcmaster down.. It would be a game.. Regardless I bleed green so obviously I'm bias... But no I don't think Peake will come away from fairlands den with 18+ W... They shut you down once.. Soo it can be done... I'm guessing it's going I happen again... Shots will fall at home.. Im already going to predict this game... Fairland shuts mcmaster down and actually plays lock down D.. Ill take fairland by 10

Wow wow wow. How blind some fans can be. I did get to make it to this one
AND what a game it was. Revert back to my last post. Fairland started to
play scared and look what happened. NOW, plug in Riley and Fullers defense
and step up and also include Midkiff also. For everyone that thinks that Peake
has best coach in the region, way more athletic and 25+ points better
and at home. Well, let me see what am missing here. Let me tell you what
I actually saw.
1. lots of college scouts
2. Coach of the region, get out coached
3. An awesome high school basketball game
4. A fairland TEAM not players, playing with heart.
5. A Chesapeake team that is not as good as people think
6. A couple of players that the scouts were probably not there
to watch, that out played the ones they were. Noble (Peaks)
and Fuller (Dragons) what heart these to played with heart.
7. An atmosphere that was second to none.
8. A Young man by the name of Riley that shut down Mcmaster.
Every kid that reads this, needs to mold there attitude of
determination and toughness after this young man.

.
7.

Please disregard this lineup as it was from 2004.

Huntington St. Joe apparently keeps the tournament schedule in a vault like the famous recipe.

I will say this about the Rivalry, I am glad Fairland is good. Chesapeake has been consistently dominant for so long that the credibility of the conference has rest square on their shoulders.

Watching Chesapeake Basketball through the early 90's it was a Chesapeake and Fairland battle every year, then in the mid 90's it shifted to Chesapeake and South Point. Towards the later half of the 90's it was Chesapeake and Coal Grove, then at the end of the decade it was back to Fairland and Chesapeake. Chesapeake aside from one year or two (South Point w Mayo) has continued to dominate the conference in a matter that makes watching OVC basketball unpalatable.

It is good Fairland is back, there needs to be an Ohio State to Michigan or vice versa. If there is no real competition or sense of rivalry then really it makes the entire conference look mediocre.

When their is a second team that is consistently good it makes everyone better.

I am happy to see Fairland back to being a good program, it has been far too long imo.

Peake is going to be young next year, so I'm afraid our OVC competition will be very strong soon enough! The last two years and this year have been sweet. But the next couple of years are going to be absolute battles. I wouldn't be surprised to see our starting lineup next year consist of 1 senior, 1 junior and 3 sophomores.

Go Peake!

RECRUIT.....(Kennedy) Fairland wins by 20.

How did Chesapeake win by 3 then?

Chesapeake actually won the ovc three years ago as well. Fairland came to Chesapeake with the OVC championship on the line. I think Chesapeake won by 3. That game was extremely exciting and intense with what was at stake for both teams.

You may be young next year, or have good battles, until you bring in another recruit. Its the same story every year. Take away both Kennedys from last year and Chesapeake is one dimensional (McMaster). Same thing with this year too.

So let me get this straight, if both Kennedy's are not there Chesapeake losses to Fairland last year? So having Nathan Copley and McMaster wouldn't be enough to beat Fairland last season? Please.

Wasn't one of your better players (Baise) from Chesapeake last year?

I remember when the class with Cole Hatfield and Lamb went through, those kids all played buddy league and all-stars at Chesapeake. So you're welcome for teaching your best kids how to play. Cole lived in the Chesapeake district too if I am not mistaken.

Really this argument gets old.

You lost, move on. You want to shut Chesapeake up, beat them.

Don't be jealous because people move to Chesapeake to be part of a Great Basketball Program, if FHS had the same Basketball tradition and opportunity, I'm sure that FHS would gladly open their doors to them also.

Let's see- FHS has 57 more boys enrolled than what CHS does and yet your crying about CHS recruiting, it sounds to me like there's not a shortage of talent or athletes at FHS but maybe a problem with the coaching, the parents, or to much politics involved in your althletic programs. Just my opinion...

I'm not saying Fairland would have beat Chesapeake last year without both Kennedys, but it's sure as heck a closer game.

Buddy league isn't relevant. When the Cole/Lamb group were coming up Chesapeake let kids enroll at an earlier age, so who isn't going to go down that way and play?

If you want to get specific, McMaster should be at Fairland. It's different if a kid grows up playing at that school their entire life versus transferring in mid high school.

Fairland lost, big deal. I just get sick of hearing how Peake dominates the conference with players from different counties and states.
