Marietta looking for redemption after a bad loss. Hope the boys can come out and play a great game. Thoughts?

This is a bad team. Guards can't handle pressure, turn the ball over too much and a lot of selfish play. I see a 6 win season right now. Going to be a long year for the Tigers.

Guys aren't focused on basketball right now. Coaching is bad right now. Hitting a lot of teams on hot nights. Gonna have to make a major turnaround.

New Philadelphia 55
Marietta 40
The boys made a little run after a 16 point halftime deficit to get it down to 6 I think. But then just fizzled out and couldn't stop New Philly

..know the games in the past but been busy with work would like to say that it was a great played game by NP but Marietta's coaching hurt their chances again... And I believe in the Times article Secrest admitted there were mistakes. Hope they work out the kinks and get back on track.

Agreed Snowman79. There was a players only practice on Saturday morning bright and early and the boys are gonna come to Coach with changes that need to be made. Everything needs to be hitting on all cylinders by January 17th for the big game at Warren

Good, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come but it really is needed, Glad to see the boys stepping up. There is no other way to put it other than the coaching has cost them way too many games in the past few years.

I think Marietta's struggles are much more than just some calls and decisions... There been to much rushed talent that never got a chance to develop before their varsity time and also been a good amount of talent that never did go through the program. It ain't just calls or missed timeouts etc.

It shows with the last 2 classes, too much emphasis on now and not the future.

And Ohiobaseball25, you probably know who I am but I figure you'd agree I don't know of anyone who can really take the job in the program and if someone in the program now does get it... There ain't enough experience to rebuild this deal.

There have been some questionable decisions this year and a quite a few last year. I don't want to get started on last year, but the record should have been a tad better.

This year is different, Marietta has to know what they are good at... what that is I don't know, but the coach who is logging all these hours with the kids should know. Form an identity and work around that. If the idea is to run a slow paced game then do it. Don't play into the other teams' hands by playing their style of ball, which is what has happened in the past.
