Reg 23 #8 Bishop Ready (7-3) @ #1 River (9-0)

Ready has a stud RB in Devin Dukes

River has a beast QB in Lukas Islay. River trying to redeem last season blowout loss to Grandview Heights. This is a tough matchup.

I just checked out the schedules and scores on Joe Eitel. It's really hard to say how good River is, they played two schools in their division and the rest were D7. They had a couple big wins but those were against 1 win teams. One of their wins is against a club team (But, I know they don't count that in playoff points)

Ready played a good schedule for the most part and only one team smaller (D7). Not all the schools they played had winning records, but most of those teams play in bigger divisions.

I would have to take Ready in this game.

Ready only beat 1 team with a winning record Fayetteville. They've played good schools getting smashed by 2 and losing to Whitehall by 7.

Based on points, River is clearly the best team. The D2 school that Ready played is 2-8 Briggs.

The 3 teams that Ready lost to were D3 (8-2) Whitehall, D5 (10-0) Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, and D4 (8-2) Bishop Hartley.

This is just my simple opinion, I have no idea if I'm right or wrong. But, as of right now, I'd probably take Ready.

Both teams are based on speed. I think River is a tough environment for Ready to play in. This should be a fun one. I think I like Ready as well.

This is the tougher half of the bracket, IMHO. The winner of this game has either Newark Catholic or Bellaire.

Still think River isn't as good as what everyone thinks they are. I see Ready winning by 20 or more. I don't think River will be able to stop there running back and Ready will be able to keep Isaly in check.

River will be a tough place for Ready to play. Leaving I-70 it is a near hour drive to nowhere. I take Ready in this one though.

River has to play physical to have a chance. Ready QB is quick but small. You have to force Ready to pass. Stack that box because you know Dukes a 2time all state RB is getting the ball. Bishop Ready did not look that big and I know River has a huge line.

This post will get hammered by the loyal and faithful SE Ohio followers, but wait until after the game and then come back, re-read the post, and then abuse me with your comments.

Running Clock in the second half.

Ready by 40 or more.

No way!! They didn't get even get running clock on Meadowbrook who is terrible. River is a lot better then every team Ready beat. Ready barely beat (2-8) Lima Central. I think Ready will win but don't take River lightly. River beat a good Shadyside team 39-7. Also post wins over 2 other playoff teams in Bellaire and Toronto.

Yea but they didn't even crush bad teams. I think you're under estimating River. I like Ready by 12.

By the way, if River would have played Cincy Hills Christian, Whitehall, or Hartly in the same season, they would likely not have enough players left to play in this game.

Whatever lol you're being silly. Ready isn't even that big. I'll tell you one thing River is bigger and stronger then Ready. Whitehall hasn't even been that impressive playing mostly smaller schools. Hartley and Cincy Christian pounded Ready. I don't know how getting smashed by good team can even help.

Whitehall was very avg for a D2 barely beat Grandview Heights who didn't even make the playoffs. Whitehall plays in a league with D4-D6 schools.
