I thought all 4 teams played well.

Piketon and Waverly were just too strong for the Western and Eastern.

I think Piketon and Waverly should match up well.

Will the Tigers pull off the upset or will the Streaks prevail.

Should be a battle.

Great effort by the Eagles tonight,they really got after it defensively and hustled there as$es off,have to applaud that,they were just outmatched by a talented Waverly team,Congrats to the Tigers,Good luck against the Streaks Tuesday night,Eastern will have there hands full with Western....... All in all,A good night of basketball at Waverly.

Did anyone else notice when the Piketon coaches called some type of defense the bench coaches would squeeze their hands like they were pinching someones butt. They have got to change that, they looked pretty strange holding their hands up pinching the air. haha!

I thought Eastern played the best basketball tonight of all the teams...Western didn't quit against the streaks, but I don't think either team played their best basketball. Piketon got to a big lead early...Western got back to within 7 points, but then Piketon went back up to double digits again. Too much depth with Piketon.

Waverly has some athletes, got great production from bench...Martin is a handful...I thought they got a tough hard fought win, which is great for confidence. Eastern really surprised me; Waverly jumped on them big the first quarter, but Eastern battled back...The technical foul was crucial...Eastern plays hard for 32 minutes!

Tuesday night will be a great night of basketball!

As for the hand signals....that has been a signal for a long time with us...As bad as some may take it, it isn't meant to be obscene...so far it is working, too, so I believe we'll keep it around! May see a lot of it come Tuesday night

I will have to start sitting on the visitor side once in awhile at games so I can see it more often, it cracks me up.

Good games.....I thought Piketon was a little too nice late in the 4th. Western and Eastern played well and hard all night. Waverly avoided the upset despite foul trouble, should be another fun night on Tuesday. Tell Coach Stanley to wear a red suit with matching shoes! (lol)

OT: Has the girls Holiday Classic been made up/rescheduled? I know the consolation/championships games were to be played earlier in the week with in the icing occured. Thanks for any help.

the girls will be made up this friday jan. 2 times not sure yet. but i think they are going to play them a little earlier bc of boys games that nite.

Alright, my parents always said, if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all! lol The girls game will hopefully be made up this Friday, but since we havent settled on a time yet, I havent wanted to tell everyone, then have to tell everyone again what time! So get off my back!!!!!!! lol

As for the boys game, whomever thinks that Waverly is such an underdog is wanting them to be for motivation.

Look at the head to head matchups.

1. Roback, the best athlete on the floor, might not be the best basketball player, but plays above the rim and has the speed and quickness with size out there.

2. Lundin/Southworth/Brush Draw, IMO. All have there qualities and weaknesses.

3. Martin/Smith/Brabson Draw, all three of them can fill up the basket.

4. Kretzer/Helton/Helton Draw, Kretzer might have the advantage of the three ball, but a very slight advantage overall.

5. Remy/Legg advantage Piketon. Evan is the best all around basketball player on the floor, IMO.

6. Bench, advantage Piketon, they are a little deeper.

7. Coaching, slight advantage Piketon. Lisath has been around the block just a little bit more but not saying that Robertson doesnt know what he is doing.

8. Home court advantage, edge of course Waverly!

So, if you break it down, it should boil down to a whale of a game.

Im going to guess Piketon by 15 to 20 they are just to expereinced for the young tigers who i fell will have problems with the ball pressure that Piketon brings Waverly is not near as good right now as they will be by seasons endgive this group of kids afew more games and they are long and athletic enough to play with about any one they just need to let there guards get more floor time and look out.But i feel that LEGG is a real problem for them match up wise just like he was for Western none of the other teams have anyone that can contain him and keep him out of the paint.
