South Gallia vs. East
Re: South Gallia vs. East
Can anybody tell me why #32 J Clyburn,is not geting the ball more,We all know he has the abilty to turn nothing into something,I meen whats going on,one of SG's most tallented backs gets the about 6 or 7 times, come on now. ,also this kid should be returning all kick returns and punt returns. This kid plays with alot of heart, you have got to play your tallent,Running the QB that much is just going to get them hurt,Put #32 in the I formation And watch him go.

Re: South Gallia vs. East
i think #32 has been given chances all year to run the ball and i don't see where he is any more talented than the others who have been running it!

Re: South Gallia vs. East
He wasn't out hardly any time with his ankle injury. So i don't think that has anything to do with his running time or carries. And i haven't ever noticed SG coaches giving up on any of their players!
Re: South Gallia vs. East
TartanBoy that is called STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE! In Western Ohio for example where Mechanicsburg is they dont play any mediocre or bad teams. It is a matter of survival just about every week!I mean you continue to get youre level 1 points for youre wins but where they are killing you is level 2 points because the teams they play continue to win!

Re: South Gallia vs. East
They better get the "kinks" out before they go to playoffs. And for Mr.Fido,if they go .A couple of the players told me last night they were doing new things, really can't remember if it is plays, different coverage assignments anyway, but a lot of the little penalties was due to this. Some teams will have the ability to capitalize on these mistakes if given the opportunity.
Re: South Gallia vs. East
Yes,I have to agree,I think he was out for only one game, for his ankle injury, but he played for two weeks with A sore ankle,And now he doesnt get the ball very often,I think he is (one) of the most talented backs they got,and not to use him correctly is A shame,I also agree They should use the I formation more.I also think he should get the ball more than 6 or 7 times per game.

You wanna know what ticks me off?
1.) When I drive 1 hour and 30 minutes after reading about East all week expecting to see a "awesome" team that is "fast" and has a back nobody can stop and see a mediocre team that in week 11 will take a beating from any team they draw. If East has to play Covington, I would take Covington by at least 20.
2.) Watching that game last night and an East player decides to give one of our players a WWE foot stomp on his back while he is laying on the ground and taking numerous other cheap shots.
3.) People getting on here, mostly players, crying about the computer points and the way they work. Then people say your schedule is weak and that is why you drop and you deny that you have the weak schedule. And before you talk about our schedule, if you went up against Wahama, BEATING!!!
4.) Our people getting on here and complaining about peoples playing time. Now come on, there is obviously a reason you are not playing, you might wanna look into that. I doubt Burleson is doing it on purpose or anything. Let him do his job. I will give you this, Clyburn is a good back, but if you go by stats, he is not the best.
5.) Our fans = EMBARASSING. We need to act like we have some class. Yelling at the other teams players isn't the way to do it. If you havent noticed, they cant hear you if they are on the field. Nobody pays attention to it.
I know we are not world beaters and no we dont have the toughest schedule in the world, but at least we are real! If you guys think you are that good and can run through the playoffs, you better watch some other D6 teams. I think you saw where you stacked up against the rest last year against Mechanicsburg, as we did against River and Danville. Lets just face it, our D6 football isnt the same as it is on the west or the north side. Thats a whole different breed of animals.

1. Last year that back ran for over 200 yards against what I think was a better South Gallia team than this year!
2. We played like crap and still scored 31 points and pitched a shut-out! If we were firing on all cylinders it could have 50 or 60 points!
3. That weak schedule you are talking about that we have; your on it pal! And, one of the teams that is in the bottom half of the bad records! And, if you played Matewan!
4. We would love to drop you from the schedule! Sciotoville fans don't like the drive as you do and it hardly is ever enough points! I only hope and pray that they never allow South Gallia into the SOC I Conference!
5. Our JV team played from the 8:00 minute mark in the forth qaurter! Your starters took the final snap! Still couldn't score on the 2nd teamers!
6. You folks appear to have alot of issues within yourselves up there; according to other post on here for the last several months. Coaching, talking about your own players! WOW! Sounds like alot of people there play the "Blame Game"!
As far as the Covington scenario! I guess that means they would beat you by 51!
As for East players taking cheap shots at South Gallia players! I don't know what game you was watching but I thought it was a pretty good game as far as sportsmanship! Now, I did see several players from South Gallia get "starched"! Thankfully none of them suffered any serious injuries!
I'll tell you what! If East has a home field playoff game; I'll pay your way into the game and give you gas money for the ride down and back! But, you have to wear Tartan gear and sit on our side and cheer the Tartans on to victory! Who knows! You might become a Sir William Wallace fan and learn to appreciate the Celtic music!

I said from day one that I seen/heard the schedule that it was weak and didn't like it with playing Manchester(all soc I teams playing them I believe), Southeastern, and even Northwest would not help. Buffalo is normally pretty good and will win their fair share of games and hoped for a win over Matewan. I don't look for East to be an easy out in the first round for anybody, they have way too many weapons on offense and the defense keeps getting better every game.
Re: South Gallia vs. East
Yes I agree,A few of the fans(and I mean A few, like two)got A little out of hand, and crossed that line on friday night. But also did see A tarten player step on that Rebel player when he was down,Now both teams prob taped that game, and should look into that, and if needed that player should be delt with one way or another. As for player #32 of course his stats are down (now) because he's not hardly getting the ball,he is A play maker,He has that something you just cant teach, nateral ability,
Re: South Gallia vs. East
Ya no,I must say I thought I saw that player step on him too, Yes they should look into it(officals, and or coaches, who ever)who would deal with something like that, does someone no?Yes,Yes Yes,#32 true tallent, needs more carries to better stats.has'nt had that many carries the last three weeks.

I don't doubt what U are referring to happened, even though I didn't personally witness it,but if U think it was recorded I doubt it.If it happened I am sure it was after play ended and game tapes just show plays only, not every thing between plays. The only time this would be dealt with is; during game,15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct, suspended from that game if continued.Coach Hall will take care of it himself. Not to nice behavior but naivity on anyone's part if they think this is the worst thing that happens in a football game.East's QB took a hit in his throwing shoulder after play was over in the first game of the year. All ref's were down field where ball was and bam out of nowhere here came opposing player with helmet to shoulder hit AND no penalty called. That wasn't nice but it happened was over and couldn't be changed.Football is a contact sport and I am sure the player that got stepped on isn't even thinking about it now.

Mechanicsburg Opponents Records: 43-37 .537 winning %.
Sciotoville Community Schools Opponents Records: 30-45 .399 winning %.
Note: Two teams on East schedule has only played 6 games so far this season. One other team has only played 7 games so far! So that's 5 less games than Mechanicsburg can count!
The mediocre or bad teams on the schedule for Mechanicsburg are:
Cedarville (2-6) 6:24
Northeastern (2-6) 4:16
Greenview (2-6) 4:16
Southeastern Local (1-7) 6:24
I know we have them too; but to say they have no mediocre or bad teams on their schedule is not a correct statement. Also, two of these teams on this list are Division 4; Region 16 teams who are known to have bad seasons every year!

Re: South Gallia vs. East
Why is everything all about the offense with coach Hall?? What happened to the old saying " DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS " Seems like the East defense never gets credit where credit is due
