Re: South Gallia vs. East
Congrats to the Tartans on the win. Good luck in the playoffs, hope you get a home game and pick up a victory. Represent Southeastern Ohio well.
People are making more out of what happened than what it is worth. Coach Hall and Coach Burleson handled the situation well. The officials had a nice game.
Good luck to both teams the rest of the year!

I don't know where U get that statement. The defense is spectacular and is always given their just dues on this forum.I, myself, have repeatedly said the defense is why we have had several wins.NOT OFFENSE,however U do have to have points to win.My prediction for South Gallia"defense will be fast and deadly,Hood will put points on board. In retrospect I can say Hood and Garrett did put points on board and the defense performed as expected,South Gallia 0.

I will give East credit, your D is very strong and is why your team is winning. But one question you have to look at is, what happends when you meet up with a team thats D is just as good as yours?

I was standing right where that happened. The player was running off the field with the coach tearing his butt for missing his assignment. He was looking at the coach and not where he was going. He did not just run over and step on him. I guess you just seen the step and nothing else but it was hard for you to see everything from 80 yards away.
Good luck this week.

must have some good balance, cause i would have tripped if i didn't know there was a body there!!!!!
may not be able to see everything 80 feet away but i was more like 20... and looked pretty intentional to me.... but that is just my take... plus i didn't like the official getting evolved with the fans, almost to unprofessional. one of the first things they teach you as a official is that fans are going to be fans, they are going to yell if they think something is not right let it go and do your job... but that is another refs take on that matter.
east has a really good defense, i believe that south gallia had the ball on the 18 in the first quarter and got pushed back to the 23. then again i think in the second they had it on the 19 and ended up with no points. congrats to that defensive effort.

Re: South Gallia vs. East
The size of a high school football field is the same as that of college and the pros. The length is 120 yards and the width is 53 1/3 yards.
It happened on East's side of the field (by the numbers) so that's 2/3's of the field meaning 35.56 feet plus 12 feet of sideline = 47.56 feet plus 7 foot of walkway = 54.56 feet plus however many rows back = 2 feet per row ( Let's just say you was on the front row). It happened @ the 40 yard line so I think we could add 10 feet for the angle = 64.56 feet.
I think your incorrect on the 20 feet.

I just want to say that I am glad that the young man that got injured is o.k. and that if this did indeed happen! And, I don't know that it didn't! I would like to apologize to that family and the player that was injured on behalf of "The Tartan Army"!
Now, lets move on! I'm sure this would not change the outcome of the game!

it wouldnt matter who got the ball the tartans would hurt them

Just what exactly are you trying to do by posting that?
I know a majority of the SG boys and they are NOT wimps. They may not be winning a lot of games this year (that'll change in the future), but there are some really tough kids down at SG.

Re: South Gallia vs. East
I know all of the SG guys, they can hold their own. In fact, the very same one that got stepped on (and yes, their foot was in is back - no matter how you want to look at it) got back in the game with a knot on his back the size of a baseball. Trust me, I was on the Tartans side when he got stepped on and right behind him as they were taking care of it. Accident or not, that kind of stuff shouldn't happen. Someone is going to get seriously injured because of it.

Was at game Friday and boogerred is 100% correct, can't remember #'s now but there were 2-3 players that left the field and IMO thought they were out for game. But one or two plays later right back playing just as hard as in the beginning of game.#5 was one of them. We, at one time, were talking about him specifically.Tough knot, this player.

#5 has been nursing a bad hip for the past few weeks. He took a few hits on that hip this past Friday night that aggravated the injury, but it didn't help that he was only maybe at 60% strength to begin the game. He finally went to the doctor Saturday and had it fixed and should be ready to go at nearly full strength (I hope) Friday night at Oak Hill. He is a tough one though, must be all those Sunday beatings he took the past years by Meat and Cave!!!
