so,so, sorry 4-ever, sometimes i get because alot of people just dont know how athletic this group of kids are and they dont credit them the way that they should. it really made me mad at the beggining of the season when people said thet they were only going to win 1 or 2 games know those people are down there after the games patting the players on the back like they had faith in them all along, thats not what i call a true BLUE DEVIL FAN.i am not from gahs either, i came from NORTH GALLIA HS where if you was a freshman and outplayed a senior, you played and the senior stood on the sideline.

I sure am glad that the team has more harmony than the "backers".

It's a TEAM EFFORT. Coaches prepare players for the game. Players execute the game plan. When everything goes according to plan, victory usually follows. Breakdowns on the sideline or field generally equal defeat. Everybody gets credit for wins. Everybody feels the sting after a loss.
I don't think there is anybody involved with the GAHS football program -- players or coaches -- that does not expect 100% percent effort out of themselves or the man standing next to him.

bigpappa:
"because i havent missed a practice or a game"
you sound like a kid on the team. leave the practices to the players and the coaches. this isnt varsity blues.
"a six time elk champ"
is elks football really all about winning...or teaching the basics and fundamentals of the game. maybe some of these kids are athletic and "should" be on the field. but if they dont know the fundamentals, or know how to execute a game plan, you arent gonna win at the high school level. maybe thats why they have limited time.
my 2 cents.
on a side note. #72 is a heck of a warrior! and i think some of his drive and ability def comes from bigpappa!
go blue!

With Jim Craft at the helm, the Midget League Browns beat the Elks two years in a row to share the MFL title in '05 and '06.
Most of those kids are now 8th and 9th graders.

Guess my record in MFL beats all of you. I ref back when bballin fool was a coach.
I would be there this season if it wasn't for shoulder surgery. Can't remember how many years its been.
bballin: Ralph will be there tonight. He works with me out at Bob Evans Transportation.

Re: WEEK 9 ~ ZANESVILLE (3-5) @ GALLIA ACADEMY (5-3)
Truthfully, it wasn't close. GA couldn't run on us, and really never seriously threatened. Our penchant for bad mistakes kept it from being a rout. But I do think GA has some nice looking young'uns and they do play hard.
Good to see GAHS4EVER and Jottings during our brief stay. Zanesville's first and last visit to Memorial Stadium.
Almost to Athens ...

Re: WEEK 9 ~ ZANESVILLE (3-5) @ GALLIA ACADEMY (5-3)
Some people will say it was the lack of any offense from Gallia Academy that cost them the game. But,I have to say it was the Zanesville defense that won the game.
You stuff everything we had.
My hats off the Gallia defense, you were on the field wayyyyyyyy to long tonight.
Lets get ready for Marietta Tigers
Oh well at least I won the split the pot tonight $700
