Eastern was 9-16 from beyond the arc. They shot 51% from the field for the game. Eastern also out rebounded Peebles 23-14. Good game for Eastern. Held Wallace to 5 points. Pell had a good game ... 13 points.

What has happen to Peebles girls team.Was Eastern hot to night an Peebles cold? Was it Eastern defence.

Eastern shot the ball really well. Not normally that good of a shooting team...56% beyond the arc...really good for any HS team. Peebles was 2-13 beyond the arc...0-7 in second half. Overall shot the ball 11-33...33% from the field. They just seemed to have a hard time getting into any offensive flow.

Peebles came out of it in the 2nd but still "flirted" with it the entire game.

At the beginning of the year I felt the SHL big school title would be between NA and Peebles but it looks like it's going to be between NA and Eastern. Eastern has already won one against NA and their next game could well decide who wins the league on the big school side. I should have known better than to overlook Eastern Brown when looking at contenders. They always seem to be in contention regardless of who or how many graduate.

There are a lot og good teams in the SHL and Ripley, NA, Peebles, Fayetteville are tough teams to pay against. The other teams in the league are good teams also, even though their team records do not show it. If those schools were in other leagues, they would be at the top of the heap. I think it is sad that so many girls sit the bench on all of the SHL teams. I hope they do not lose heart for the game. Coaches are killing team morale by not playing and rotating their bench into the game. How sad for all of the teams, and the girls that quit.
