I am an SG fan and I had no problem with Oak Hill leaving the starters in and throwing the ball when the game was easily in hand. It's the Rebels job to stop them and they didn't do their job. Who cares what the final score ends up being in a game?? 54-0, 60-0 or even 90-0, noone will remember the final in a few weeks anyways. Enough said, let's move on to Symmes Valley and then get ready for basketball season!!!

I've pretty much stayed off here this year but I've seen to many statements like this:

Total classless act at Oak Hill tonight. Oaks up by a bunch late in 2nd qtr. running hurry up offense so they can get the ball back later to throw passes and score again, knowing they even get the ball back to start the second class. Only top by still having starters in early early in the fourth quarter still throwing passes up 48-0.

If you remember a few years back the Oaks coming off an 0 and 10 season with a new coaching staff (SG play off bound)
The rebels came to Oak Hill and beat the Oaks bad (I'm not sure of the score) their starters playing the entire game. It looks like a little payback was in order. Call it poor coaching, padding the stats or whatever you would like. The coaches are getting dogged for losing as well as winning. If the coaches were padding stats why didn't SR Pete Fisher get another carry to go over 1000 yds rushing on senior/parents night.

I've got a son playing for the Oaks and the coaching staff has taught him much more about lifes lessons then just football. The coaches are there 24/7 when an injury occurs regardless of the sport, my son broke his foot last year during summer league basketball and Coach Phillips was the first to call and check on him. If a player is hospitalized any time of the year Coach Phillips makes the trip to hospital to check on his player.

If SG don't want beat by 56 points either practice harder or quit playing Oak Hill.

My son plays for South Gallia and I've been to every game and South Gallia hasn't played Manchester so I'm not sure what you're talking about. As far as the posts about Oak Hill being classless, I don't think any of those posts were from South Gallia fans. I could be mistaken but I don't think so!

I smell bad wrote:Friday nights are for the varsty, Saturdays and Mondays for the J.V. If SG wanted Oakhill to pull their starters, they should have pulled their own. I have seen games when people pulled their starters against SG in the past. SG left theirs in, scored a few times against the JV and freshmen, and danced up the sidelines taunting the other team. They also would load up and take shots at the younger kids. All that comes back to bite you at some time. So again, if you want the other team to pull their starters, pull your own instead of leaving yours in and celebrating like you just won the state championship when your varsiy scores against the other teams freshmen.

IF U LOOK AT THE SG ROSTER U WILL NOTICE THAT 20 OUT OF 30 KIDS PLAYING FOOTBALL AT THIS CURRENT TIME ARE FRESHMAN OR SOPHOMORES. SO MAYBE U GUYS SHOULD START WITH YOUR FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORES PLAYING!!!!!!!!!

I THINK THERE IS 3 SENIORS STARTING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL!!!! AND ONLY FIVE JUNIORS ON THE TEAM... SO YOUR ARGUMENT IS POINTLESS WHEN WE HAVE WHAT U WOULD CALL "BY CLASSES" A JV TEAM!!!!!!! THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT!!!

I was not at the game so I will not even get into what happened or why

but, I don't think that you can use the argument of we have mostly freshman and sophomores out there against Oak Hill. Oak Hill has mainly sophomores out there playing as well. In my opinion the more time they are on the field the more experience they get for the next two years.

A D-VI school with a scattered attendance area -- like SG -- is going to experience down years. It just happens.

Oak Hill was in the gutter not so long ago (0-10 in 2005).

These things happen to small schools which are not tightly-packed little adjuncts to areas with bigger populations.

SG will be back up, and Oak Hill will eventually fall off a little.

Circle of life and all that...
