You knew it wouldn't last Floyd ... I told you 'we had it made' when it was 50 degrees and sunny ...

Its gonna be real tough getting the info needed now ... I'll do my best to keep you informed on the TVC - that wil be 15 teams you won't have to worry about.

... great game at Jim's Gym tonight as Portsmouth "left town" with a good win over a game Logan Chieftain squad ... this one was tied at the 2;26 mark of the 4th 54-54 ... Luke Miller led the Purple with 31 points/13 of those in the 4th quarter ... Coach Collins Trojans were led by Dion McKinley's 19 points ... fun game to watch from the Cheap Seats ... Portsmouth 62 Logan 57 final

Logan 57
Portsmouth 62 final

... great seeing the student section for Logan supporting the Purple boyz tonight as they have done every game ... when the Chiefs were in position to get back in the game, pulled even with the Trojans - the crowd was right there with the boyz - great stuff tonight ... Portsmouth has a nice ball club for sure, the Chiefs took a big step in getting confidence that they can play with anyone in taking PHS into the last minute with the game up for grabs ... Nelsonville/Chillicothe up next week for the Chieftains ...

... great getting to meet up with the Portsmouth contingent led by TrojanDave/biggdawgg <= it was close but trojandave "managed" to NOT get tossed this trip to Logan LOL ... the Warren coaching staff was in the house tonight - good to see Coach Maddox, Excoach78 - good people all ... I thank all of you for your thoughts/prayers concerning my health - as I told trojandave " the game plan is to beat this thing", watching the hs hoops, meeting up with the folks that I like call friends for their support - doesn't get any better than that - thanks everyone ...

I wanna hear from the Portsmouth folks.

Quite obviously Logan was ready and willing to play and hit some big shots....what was up with Portsmouth? 90 mile road trip? Overlooking (not guessing this one, Coach Collins wouldn't let it fly)....

Southeastern shot a blistering 7-24 from the FT line in their win tonight. But, behind 21 pts and 11 rebs from Sr Michael Brown, along with 22 pts from Jr Nick Kellough, the Panthers were able to protect their home court. Huntington was led by Dylan Gragg with a game high 23 pts, but the key # of the game was Brice Vickers with only 8 pts.

Southeastern hosts Peebles tomorrow night, while Huntington hosts Lynchburg Clay

Unioto was still without Cole Murray(who was walking around without crutches) and had a slow start, only leading Adena 21-20 at the half. They won the 3rd quarter, 21-6 to take over the game. Chase Detillion scored 14 of his 15 in the 2nd half, while Bryce Arledge scored 12 of his game high 18 in the 1st half. Andrew Warner had another double-double(11 and 11) while Hudson North had 7 assists. Austin Dennis and Auston Hottinger led Adena with 11 each. If Adena plays as well as they have their last 2 games, they'll win a few in the 2nd half, IMO.

Unioto travels to Greenfield McClain tomorrow night.

Westfall defeated Paint Valley 47-32. PV's Harrison Hermann left with an illness early in the game. Westfall's Derek Robertson led all scorers with 23.

Paint Valley travels to Western tomorrow night.

Piketon 65-54(I believe) winners over Zane Trace. Craigen Moore had 25 for the Redstreaks, while Zach Farmer had a monster game with 18 pts and 17 rebs. Wes Beam scored 23 for ZT.

Piketon travels to Portsmouth tomorrow night.

SVC Standings at the halfway point:
Huntington 6-1, 8-3
Unioto 6-1, 8-2
Piketon 5-2, 7-3
Southeastern 5-2, 7-3
Paint Valley 2-5, 2-9
Westfall 2-5, 3-9
Zane Trace 2-5, 4-6
Adena 0-7, 0-10

Floyd ... You should have stopped by the Plains and picked me up - I would have gone! I'm sure Mrs. Flloyd wouldn't have mind sitting in the back as we argued back-and-forth for an hour or two on the way to Chesapeake.
